    The mayor of Agri-ville?

Recently ivebinconned said he considered me the "mayor Of Agri-ville"?
Actually I like to think of myself as the "entertainment"? LOL
Without a doubt...I like to stir the pot? Sometimes, in fact, I just like to play the devils advocate to get the pot a brewing!
Rural Issues...can be a really dead place? So you need to stir it up whenever the opportunity arises? Sometimes...that isn't pretty?
So Coppertop(especially)...and Linda too....Sorry if I beat you up a time or two(and you me?) but it is all just fun and games!
Horse, for all his faults, really gives me a laugh or two! I still chuckle when I recall his "hiding their own Easter eggs" thing? Somehow I found that really funny.

I will miss you to cowman and coppertop not that I agree all that often but sometimes it just feels better if you put it in print.

cowman, horse, must be the Christmas Spirit that has you two kind of mushy !!

I too, will miss the dialogue, and the differing opinions of each of you, and others. Not agreeing isn't an issue, hell, I am used to being the odd man ( gal) out on many issues, I was the first woman appointed to our local Ag Service Board, then the first female Reeve of our county. Some of my colleagues on council felt that it had been a mistake to give women the vote in the first place much less let them seek political office !!!! You would have had to have been there to appreciate the politics that took place ! For me, it was baptism by fire!

I could write a book about my experiences with those who did not agree, but I respected each and every one that stood their ground and represented their constituents even if their opinion differed from mine. I lost a lot of faith in humanity whenever there was dirty politics, and never stooped to that behavior.

Each of you have added a lot to this site, your opinions for the most part have been based on your experiences in agriculture and in life itself. I hope that this site or a similar one can continue, but if not, I have enjoyed the opportunity to ' spar' with you the odd time !!!

There are several parties interested in taking over the site, so I don't think Agri-ville is going anywhere.

Well desite the "entertainment value" I was hoping to "educate" you a bit...to the RIGHT way of thinking!
Coppertop: I'm not trying to be a bit "mushy" when I say you are the rock solid bottom of Toryism! Not going to say I ever agreed with that...I'm definitely a cat of a different color! But I will say...your guys have done a fairly decent job...considering!
Horse: What can I say? You provided me with all kinds of amusement! You should have been on the stage...and I don't mean that in any kind of derogatory sense? I suspect you are a "crusty one of a kind" type of guy!

cowman, I hope a site is maintained, and those of us who enjoy posting on the site can continue to provide ideas, 'entertainment', and differing points of view on various topics.

Healthy discussions are always a good thing, and no-body should take exception to opinions of another, even if they come from a completely different direction than one's own views.

I am not necessarily a rock soild Tory in all things, but I do feel that it is best to ensure that one is kept abreast of current politics, and an understanding of the people who make the decisions, locally, provincially and federally. Comes from listening to political discussions in my home when I was a kid, both parents took a real interest in their community etc., so it's not much wonder that I have such a keen interest in politics.

Oh, I know you are a "political animal! LOL
In fact I am one two...just often didn't have the time to indulge myself!
Believe it or not, I wasn't overly distressed when Ed Stelmach got elected? Disappointed to a certain degree, but thankful Jim Dinning didn't get in!
The more I see of Ed Stelmach the more I like him!

cowman, I think that Albertans can already see how Ed is going about things. He,is a very high energy person, and also a man of the people. He gave Morton a good portfolio to prove himself in. SRD is a diverse portfolio, and it will take a lot of energy and willingness to learn to keep on top of things.
