You keep saying it has to be either our system or the US model. Like Blackpowder says, very lazy or disingenuous.

Many hybrid systems that have better outcomes.

The Union/NDP/socialist mantra is the either or possibility. It touts the status quo when it could be so much better.

Better outcomes, better value for money.

Quit "crying wolf" and suggest solutions.

We already have a hybrid model with some private clinics.

Just for once , I would like to hear you say “I Made a mistake and I have learned from it” , just once
most of the rest of us have admitted it once , or many times
        part of being human

Chuck actually admits that he is wrong all the time. He's just more subtle about it.
Every time responds with flat Earth, or running out of CO2 arguments, he is acknowledging that he was wrong.
Still working on the learn from it part.

How does funding work with private imaging and diagnostics labs? Seems the likes of dynalife and other private imaging clinics around town can function within the current system.

We are spending much less on primary care and as a result many cases end up at the ER instead of the doctors office.
Good article in the National Post: “Chris Shelley: Canadians are discovering there are even scarier health-care futures than ‘American-style’.” Yes the left always brings out the American style health care boogeyman!! Read the article Chuck2.

And the right wants more for profit healthcare options and don't really care about the impact on care for everyone as long as they can afford to pay.

There you go slipping into old habits. Too many years reading the Commonwealth. You obviously can't form an original thought.

As mentioned before, most of the developed world has various forms of hybrid systems of healthcare delivery. Our rigid single payer system doesn't cut the mustard and we have to explore a better way.

No one I know is saying throw out our system for a totally private one. But there has to be a better way than what we have now.

Use your brain power for something better than being obtuse and prickly.

In order to improve the health care system in this country we need to explore all avenues and take a more pragmatic approach leaving ideology at the door. Something difficult for rigid minded folks. The welfare state as it exists will not last if the status quo remains.

First thing I’d do is get rid of half these high priced administrators creating jobs for themselves in health and education
It’s a joke , half of them aren’t even experienced in their respective fields
salaries are online ,god damn pencil pusher making more than a doctor , absolute stupidity
