The housing file is complex and it will take multiple ways to make sure every person whether low income or high income has affordable housing.

Governments have to invest in and use incentives for affordable housing for low income people who don't have a down payment or an income to afford a house in our large cities.?

Even after Crypto has failed and is gone, housing affordability for low income Canadians will still be a big problem.

        This response sounds vaguely familiar.

Oh, yes, I remember, this is the same response you give when questioned why power prices always go up with the introduction of expensive unreliable solar and wind.

Just change a few words and you can respond to any topic with the same meaningless word salad.

CC… rational logic.. common sense discussion is nearly impossible with the Liberals take all taxation over regulations… Canada certainly is not short of good residential sites… at 1/4 the cost being changed plus admin regulations and top heavy restrictions on residential building is killing affordable residential buildings… plus carbon taxes where heat pumps and southern climate solutions are totally impractical.

EV’s are no different. Blessings and
          cheers.

          our own funerals.

Sure it’s complex like any other problem plaguing this country but lets not forget the multiple elephants in the room which has created this issue.

              1. High immigration numbers to prop up a plunging demographic and fill job vacancies in services.
              2. From [NODE="1"]Home[/NODE] lack of needed tradespeople to build houses and fix present ones.
3.Purposely high settlement below the 49th parallel in southern Ontario where land is becoming increasingly scarce and expensive.
              4. Regulatory burdens because of municipal provincial and federal policy.
              5. High costs of building materials because of covidflation and lets not deny carbon tax.

It is easy to say it’s a complex problem like that of the state of our native peoples or health care but let’s drill down some factors. It’s a cop out on your part and quite lazy to say it is complex when you have enough time to copy and paste a myriad of articles. Use the thing between your ears and convey the factors which create these problems and what you honestly think can fix it. We can read whatever we find on the internet ourselves if we so choose.

And the reality is Crypto isn't going to do anything effective that will solve the 5 problems you listed.

The carbon tax has a relatively small impact on inflation of building materials.

The biggest single cause is lack of supply to match demand and years of low interest rates that caused higher prices.

Crypto has no plans to stop immigration and doesn't control interest rates or the housing market.

Luckily, sheeple are waking up and at least 2/3 of Canadians don’t agree with you , and number growing every day
what was that narcissistic imbecile thinking when he thought he could treat Maritimes to a liberal tax exemption and no one else ?????. Especially when they weren’t even paying carbon tax until July
                  what a stunned banana

The rebates on the carbon tax apply to every province except Quebec and BC that have their own carbon tax system. Crypto won't be cancelling the Quebec and BC carbon tax.

So the vast majority of carbon tax payers are receiving a rebate that covers most if not all of their carbon tax.

And the inflation effect of the carbon tax direct and indirect on the economy is around 1/2 a percentage point.

And Crypto is counting on the fact that many people don't understand the tax and the rebate system and will blame the incumbent government for the increasing costs.

But that dosent make what Crypto says true!

Good of you to bring that Chuck.

Did you have the news release from the PMO laying in front of you?

I think he wrote it for the PMO. Did you hear the speech where Trudeau was ranting incoherently about flat earthers? Sounded vaguely reminiscent of our very own Chuck's speech writing style.

Because their politicians were smart enough to realize it wasn't good for reelection.
The Liberals are so clueless they are going to cling to this cast iron, lead infused life preserver all the way down.

Good for them for having principles at least this once.
