Based on the AESO forecast of what's in the planning and implementation chart it looks like that may indeed happen.

Chuck2, what I said and what I showed about electricity prices was that the most expensive part of what I pay for electricity was and is transmission and distribution. I have shown you what I pay for electricity. What the economists are referring to is the Regulated Rate option. This rate is for the generation portion and fluctuates with market demand. It would be interesting to know what proportion of Albertan’s are still on the RRO option. Most people I talk to have locked in their generation portion as I have. The part I don’t agree with on the so-called experts analysis is as I stated my greatest cost, transmission and distribution, is not covered by their analysis. What is interesting is that wind and solar production is manipulated by weather and time of day and year. I have no doubt electricity generators manipulate production. Fertilizer producers manipulate supply. Grain companies manipulate basis. Machinery manufacturers manage supply to dictate price. Government regulates more and more of what will be available in the market place which than affects price. But as far as electricity, say whatever you want, quote whatever corporate aspiration you desire, the Fact is, solar and wind are intermittent. If we double the wind and solar capacity in Alberta there is no doubt there will be days when it supplies 50% of our electricity but there will also be days when it supplies less than 10%!!!!

Amid context of the ongoing climate emergency. Do you think mother nature can tell the difference between CO2 from indigenously produced oil and gas versus oil and gas produced by the evil capitalist corporations?

Canada's emissions cap will limit Indigenous oil and gas production and risk the progress many have been fighting for.
Call on Ottawa to exempt Indigenous oil and gas projects from the emissions cap.
