It is really scary to think how much power the makers in society actually have if they choose to use it. And how utterly helpless the takers are to do anything about it.
yes the best them clowns could do was chain themselves on to a tree ! yes if we all stood up and said NO things would change pretty quick

      It's even easier than that.
In most cases, all the makers have to do is sit back down and say no.
Not hauling groceries, or gas or propane to the takers.
Not keeping the power plants operating.
      Not keeping the roads maintained.
      Not keeping the hospitals functioning.

Wind power now down to half a percent of name plate capacity. If past cold snaps are any indication, it will likely hit zero at some point. Only 2 wind farms were producing anything, Taber and Jenner.
So when wind production hits zero, how many percent more wind farms will Alberta need to meet our consumption? Consumption is currently at 11885 MW.
More percentages for Chuck2,AB5. 34% of Alberta’s grid is renewable, that is wind, solar and hydro, they are producing 6.7% percent of our power today. Do you think at that level of production they could charge batteries?!

Are the “greenies” daft. No doubt about it.

                From the CBC:

""Today, we are at risk of having to use our emergency reserves based on what we're seeing with the forecast, with the grid, with demand being very high and very little renewable energy," he said.

Because of the record-breaking demand for power — and the potential for that record to be smashed again — AESO's communication manager says they have a message for Albertans.

"If you can, please conserve electricity between the peak demand period, which is from 4 to 7 p.m.," he said, adding that it's the "little things," such as not running the dishwasher or doing laundry during peak hours."

Solar could have had it's best day ever, but is of no value in the peak demand period.
                ?

How in the hell can the average sheeple be that simple? And none of those particular people will have any sort of backup power

looks like the bird choppers were cranking out enough power to almost keep 10 homes going at 4pm today !

i think all us folk in the real world need to seriously think about having another way to heat our homes , if this madness cant be stopped their an ever growing chance grid will go down when we need it most

And just think how good that will be for the environment.
Not only will we have multiple redundant generation systems to back up the expensive unreliables.
Plus multiple cars in our garage so the grid can borrow from the batteries, and we still have a means of getting to work in the morning if all of the electric cars have been drained over night.
Now we will also need back up generators and propane or wood stoves installed in every building for back up.
Fortunately, all of these things don't have a CO2 footprint...

Saving the world from plant food, one redundancy at a time.

30 years ago when I lived in the city I heated my 3 car garage with waste oil, I built my own stove and not a drop of black smoke came out the chimney, it looked more like heat waves and clear vapour, nobody ever complained or had a clue.
