If you are driving in remote areas you can always buy a plug in hybrid and get the best of both technologies.

And many ICE vehicles will likely not start or freeze up in cold weather too leaving you stranded in remote areas.

The Canadian ban on ICE vehicles applies equally to hybrid's. So as of 2035, that is not a solution.

It took 90 years to develop something as brutally reliable as the 5.3 gm engine. I've owned 3 in the last 24 years.
Total maintenance is 1 set of plugs in 350k. Starts and runs in all weather.
Now we are to believe the same will happen in 11 years???

Has it been so long since anyone has lived hand to mouth that they can't see you can't afford today's vehicle repair costs on a mid or lower wage? Just keep trading them off and making payments. Far better than supporting evil corporations.
Better hurry up on urban transportation infrastructure.
50 mile round trip for fresh produce here. $9/gal milk locally.
Single income households sure aren't in anyone's plans. Rebates a slap on the arse after pulling out.

Wrong again A5! Just like on most of your other posts you dont get the basics facts straight! Longer range plug in hybrids will be allowed.

And its not just in Canada.

"The rules are similar to those adopted by California, which says 100% of new cars sold in 2035 must be plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV), EVs or powered by hydrogen fuel cell. A total of 17 U.S. states have agreed to adopt the regulations."

I'm not talking circles around your point. On the contrary I agree with it. However I'm not arguing about what happens after either vehicle runs out of energy. I was simply stating that the ev was the better choice to save your friends life. I put it in such a way to encourage people to figure it out and think for themselves.
You however started talking in circles in your first reply. Then set off more deflected replies containing lots of "probably" and "likely" and "I guess". Then later on you even had a little no till rant remember?
Also, what's "anti vax bud" about??

Where is A5 hiding? He is the one who wrongly claimed plug in hybrids would not be allowed to be sold under the 2035 ban. Proving once again he does not listen to or read the news!
