Lightning and human activity start most of the forest fires. Arson is a way down the list of causes.
And guess what drought and hot dry weather increase the number, size and intensity of forest fires. All which are linked to more severe weather because of climate change.
CHIBOUGAMAU, Que. – A Quebec man who posted conspiracy theories online that forest fires were being deliberately set by the government has pleaded guilty to starting a series of fires himself that forced hundreds of people from their homes.
What a surprise that he is just another right wing fanatic conspiracy theorist like some of the agrisilly faithfull! And probably doesn't think human caused climate change is real.

Hamloc, I know you are desperate to blame the increase of fires on arson but you are wasting your time.
Rising average temperatures, record summer temperature records falling, shrinking glaciers, water supplies shrinking, decreasing precipitation, all made worse by human caused climate change. And you still want to deny human caused climate change?

When the name switch happened from global warming to climate change it became all encompassing.
you can’t deny climate change because that’s the very nature of climate . It has never been stable so it’s the perfect scapegoat slogan .

Carbon emissions are rising in tandem with increasing average temperatures as measured over the decades.
Natural weather variability still occurs but the temperature trends are clear.
The impact that greenhouse gases have on the earths climate is established scientific fact.
Modern observations mostly come from weather stations, weather balloons, radars, ships and buoys, and satellites. The Global Historical Climatology Network daily (GHCNd) contains records from more than 100,000 stations in 180 countries and territories.
