Energy , money and debt

Interesting article

Furrow it certainly was interesting. There is no doubt that today’s improvement in quality of life and standard of living is a result human’s harnessing of and utilization of fossil fuels. Things we take for granted like fleets of ships delivering freight, affordable air travel, hopping in your car and driving across the country, all to a great extent will be put at risk by governments forced imposition of electrification. To believe that this will occur without a great decrease in living standards is certainly naive. To think that politicians like Justin Trudeau or Stephen Guilbeault and the bureaucracy under them is smart enough to legislate a large reduction in one energy system and to ramp up another based on intermittent supply and government subsidy is certainly beyond ridiculous.

The oil industry has been getting very generous subsidies and incentives for decades. They have been transferring large amounts of wealth from consumers to OPEC and other oil producers.

And surprise surprise they aren't interested in giving up the gravy train as the world moves away from fossil fuels.

Even Steven Harper said Canada would stop burning fossil fuels for energy.

And every province is planning on reducing carbon emissions and moving towards electrification.

Heavy trucking and transport will convert over to clean fuels like hydrogen.

Here is an example of some homegrown innovation in that direction:

"Diesel Tech Industries Ltd. (DTI) and Creative Truck Performance Ltd. (CTP) announce a strategic partnership aimed at advancing the decarbonization efforts within the Class 8 fleets of Saskatchewan. The collaboration introduces the Guardian Hydrogen Diesel System, a cutting-edge technology designed to enhance efficiency and reduce emissions in heavy-duty trucking."

Ya sure hydrogen...

“Where does the hydrogen come from? That story of green hydrogen is another fairytale. If you believe in the next five years, in industry it’s a feasible option - it’s not.”"
"A dash to build bigger and bigger turbines has in some cases proved counterproductive, Mr Kaeser said, by forcing manufacturers to spend large sums of money upfront with too little time to recoup their investments."

What are the 4 basic methods of producing hydrogen?

Microorganisms such as bacteria and algae can produce hydrogen through biological processes.
• Thermochemical Processes. ...
• Electrolytic Processes. ...
• Direct Solar Water Splitting Processes. ...
• Biological Processes.
"Construction of the world's first industrial-scale green hydrogen hub (https://power.mhi.com/regions/amer/news/20220609) is underway in central Utah and will be operational in 2025. The Advanced Clean Energy Storage hub — a joint venture between Mitsubishi Power Americas and Magnum Development — will provide green hydrogen to support power producer Intermountain Power Agency's IPP Renewed Project (https://www.ipautah.com/ipp-renewed/). The hub could expand to hold enough green hydrogen to support decarbonization efforts (https://www.forbes.com/sites/mitsubishiheavyindustries/2022/07/07/the-future-of-utility-scale-green-hydrogen-starts-here/?sh=39515f48239d) across the entire western United States."?
