"What ever the TV says" LOL Thats pretty lame, even for you crop. Crop, You have heard of other sources of information besides TVs haven't you?

And you are going to stick to the boneheaded idea that the cause of forest fires is just arson!

So it was only arson that contributed to the record number and area by a wide margin of forest fires in 2023!

It wouldn't have anything to do with a hot and dry spring and summer?

Nobody takes the arson is the only cause seriously Crop! Thats just more crap!?

It seems to me the higher the c02 and temp. line on a graph the more government money comes your way. Or the premise the media is telling us, humans are causing global warming, but what they are really saying is, basic needs of humans to improve their right to survival is causing weather change. This funding will partially disappear after the next government takes over as huge deficits will be very high on their priority list. Perhaps some climatologists will re-examine their data and make subtle adjustments.

At one time I thought the PM genuinely believed [through questionable data by scientists] that he could slow climate change by taxing consumers.
This belief all came to a sudden halt after the PM turned down Japan and Germany when they came shopping for NG from Canada. Both of these countries use coal to generate about 35% of their electricity.

The PM said it wasn't a good business model . . . i think the address of the business was the killer of this deal, I've heard him say coal generates more carbon emissions than NG so we know he understands that, but perhaps if the source of natural gas was further east the business model would all of a sudden be proof the "Liberals continue as well as eastern Canada continues to be leaders and together we will both continue promoting lower emissions through out Europe and Asia".

Wealth in western Canada is just bad.

But more people are realizing its a huge scam, taxing money in, then refunding the same money out administered by 465 staff costing almost 80 million a year and lets not forget the 5% GST tax on the carbon tax puts a grin on the many faces of the Dept of Finance. It's the perception of receiving free money from the government, many will fall for this great gift from the liberals.

This relationship between the liberals and Canada is comparable to a balcony and tequila.

        Vote accordingly.

So there is a huge cost to doing nothing about greenhouse gas emissions and a smaller cost in the long run to change to low carbon energy sources.

But of course most of you pretend fiscal conservatives would rather let the next generations pay for all the human caused climate change costs?

Just like the oil industry wants taxpayers to clean up the oil wells and messes they leave behind. Tens of thousands of oil wells drilled through potable water aquifers with casing that will eventually fail. What possibly could go wrong?

Define smaller cost in the long run?

They have spent all the money and world Co2 keeps rising.

But Geebo says we make it start to drop by ourselves?

Every country is only a portion of the cause and that's not an excuse for doing nothing.

Mulroney helped to lead the agreement to reduce ozone killing chemicals and Canada was also a small emitter relative to bigger countries.

                  Right, but again it's perspective.
What else do you propose to do with the cemented casings?
What is being done with all the abandoned water wells?
I have two near my current one.
Do you have any idea of the number of seismic or other drill holes in Western Canada since 1950??
I personally watched our crew plug a flowing hole with a fence post. About 500 yards downhill from a farm yard. Only thing we could do.
Road allowances Queens property after all. My great grandfather punched a flowing hole in a ditch to water cattle. Cable tool rig.
We do things much better now.

What are you smoking???? 1.5% is going to change the climate? Get a brain!

We can be the LAST to try after all others! Huge land area, massive forest area, COLD country. Need heat and travel to exist.

Abandoned and orphaned oil wells are not all cemented off. And there is program to plug water wells with money to help do it.

And oil wells are much more likely to bring oil and saltwater pollution to potable water aquifers if they are nor properly decommissioned.

So the risk is much greater.

I just don't have the skill set to explain my point well enough for everyone to understand. Perhaps a lost cause at any rate.
