Took the time to watch this last night. It would be great if more people would watch it. I can't help but wonder how we got to this point. I guess the old maxim “if you tell a lie often enough it becomes the truth” comes to mind.

You do know that Canada is one of the world's best carbon sinks.
Did you check out the recent NASA data showing that Chuck?
All our current government gives us it the story that we are high carbon producers per capita.
Have you ever looked out the window of the airplane at night when coming home from a high population area that was all lit up as far as you can see an when you start getting close to where we live it is pretty much black dark with a very odd light?
That doesn't take a study to see who is producing Co2 and who is sinking it.

Carbon sinks do release carbon in the natural carbon cycle which was more or less balanced for thousands of years until the industrial revolution started releasing CO2 on a grand scale.

And Canadians are some of the highest emitters per capita on the planet.

And that's why we are planning to reduce carbon emissions from the unnatural source called fossil fuels.

There is no policy to reduce or vilify natural carbon emissions.

Its the human caused releases they are working on. But SARM delegates can't tell the difference?

sooooo…….youre telling me you did not watch it ? Nothing like keeping an open mind CC..It strikes me as odd that you as a farmer ( assuming you actually are a farmer ) would not support a resolution regarding western Canadian farmers improved farming methods. I can only imagine how things would be arranged if the Quebec/Ontario farms were leading the world in zero till. Just saying. Anyway CC I am not going to get into a pi$$ing match with you have a happy Easter or a nice long weekend whichever suits you.

More or Less Balanced? Define balanced?
CO2 levels have been more than 25 times higher than today, and have been less than half of todays levels.
The miniscule blip of the industrial level isn't even visible on a long term graph of CO2 concentrations.

Historic CO2 levels were about as balanced as everyone's favourite Agriville troll is mentally and emotionally balanced, who wobbles between mild mannered faux intellectual, to an unhinged maniacal 3 year old having a temper tantrum replete with insult and expletive ridden vitriol.

We are talking about climate change since the industrial revolution. Agriculture only started about 10,000 years ago and homo sapiens have only been on the planet 300,000 years but you want to go back how many million years ago to compare climate?

Large parts of the world population don't have climate change as a main concern.

Meteorologist Drew Lerner, president of World Weather, Inc., sees climate change as a natural phenomenon and sides with those who believe human activity is not the primary cause of climate change.

“Global warming certainly cannot be disputed when one looks back and accepts the theory that the earth was once covered greatly in ice,” Mr. Lerner said. He cites sun spot activity as the primary cause of longer-term temperature changes, but also notes a key role played by ocean temperatures. He suggests the massive amount of data and information now available about weather events around the globe contribute to the idea that weather is much more active and severe than it once was. But that’s not the case, he contends, as the climate “is always in a state of flux.”

Farmers shouldn’t expect any breakthrough, however, on long-term weather forecasting, said Drew Lerner, president of Kansas-based World Weather Inc. and a practicing meteorologist for 38 years.

“Long-range forecasting is an art, and it is a very risky thing to do,” said Lerner. “It really does come down to a great deal of prayer.

And he basically uses the excuse that the climate has always changed! Ignoring mountains of evidence from every credible scientific organization.
