I have also watched truckers start to turn off their trucks instead of idling while loading.

A small change to be sure.

But transport manufacturers are looking at all kinds of efficiency gains and options for low carbon technology.

You can a get a huge efficiency gain just from moving more long distance freight off the roads and back on to the rails.
You constantly lecture about statistics from credible sources, large sample size, about not looking out your window and drawing erroneous conclusions based on anecdotal evidence.

So when I ask you what the trucking Industry has done to respond to the CO2 tax, you look out your window at a sample size of 1? who in your opinion, and based on zero evidence , might idle their trucks less.

What effect do you think this earth shattering development will have on global warming?

If you are going to come up with this kind of bullshit that is easily shot down just give up man!
Are you serious? In your post it says since the carbon tax was imposed in 2019 carbon emissions have went down 8%. Why do you think they went down 8%? Because of Covid restrictions!!!!! Now if it was because of the carbon tax they wouldn’t be going back up!!!!

Are you daring to suggest that Chuck has Cherry picked the dates to make the data look better?
Just like he did by choosing a very short period of CO2 concentrations ignoring the entirety of Earth's history before that.

In this case the economists who wrote that letter that cherry picked data. Then Chuck2 accused me of misrepresenting the increase of emissions in 2022. In both 2020 and 2009 emissions went down due to economic contractions. This belief in carbon taxes reducing emissions is really an illusion because the only verifiable reductions in emissions in Canada since 2008 have been caused by economic contractions!!!

You missed the point. The fact that CO2 reductions coincide with economic contractions is a feature and not a bug.
              Economic contraction is the goal.
