The key point here is very simple. Stephen Guilbeault said climate related costs will cost the average Canadian household $2000 per year by 2050, up from $720 per year now. Both Justin Trudeau and Stephen Guilbeault infer that the trajectory of these costs are changed by the carbon tax and reducing Canada’s emissions. But this simply isn’t true. China’s and India’s future emission increases will be far larger than any decrease in Canada. Emissions don’t stop at the border, therefore the climate related costs Stephen Guilbeault talks about will be the same in 2050 whether the carbon tax in Canada exists or not. What the carbon tax will do is make energy more expensive and Canada’s economy smaller as pointed out by the PBO. If the Trudeau government was truly worried about future generations they would reduce deficit spending and therefore the future taxes on today’s youth!!!!

The PBO said the economy will only be slightly smaller with the carbon tax. The economists have clearly said the carbon tax is the lowest cost way to reduce emissions and that other options will cost more.
But just admit you don't want to do anything! Because like A5 says more CO2 is good for us!

Chuck2, what do you believe lowering emissions in Canada will accomplish? Under Justin Trudeau the federal government now employs 100000 more people. The national debt has more than doubled!!! What has that accomplished? Owning a house has now become an unaffordable dream for the majority of young families. Per capita GDP has gone down to the same level it was back in 2014. This is Justin Trudeau’s record!

I think Chuck must have me blocked?
When I post any data or information that is relative to the conversation he seens to not have seen or considered it.
He just goes back over the mantra he has been chanting forever.
He never answers even the simplest questions asking for his opinion on anything.
He must not see it?

Something at his academic level and maturity.
If you have access to any 5-year-olds, you can consult them on this issue. In case it has been a while since you found yourself on the elementary school playground exchanging insults with a local bully and need a refresher on how it is done.
Alternately, you can make a post about the well documented benefits of increased co2. He can't resist responding to those.
