So A5 are you saying the flat earthers and climate change deniers like your self are showing the way forward with science?

I won't minimize how valuable this is though. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

This person does a review of the book, Unsettled: What Climate Science Tells Us, What it Doesn't and Why it Matters.
Author Steven E. Koonin.
When you can’t question “The Science” it stops being science!
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on November 28, 2021
I am the sort of person that likes to question narratives. I like to see all things from multiple perspectives. This book is full of interesting data and good knowledge on the climate crisis (or is it) Unsettled is exactly what the climate conversation should be. To be honest whether global warming is the catastrophe predicted or not and there have been many predictions that have been way off over the years. When I was younger it was the Ozone layer and acid rain that was hitting the headlines. To be honest it certainly won’t hurt if we all clean up our act in terms of cutting down on waste and only using what we need, that is common sense and Steve certainly doesn’t try to deny there is no climate change he just questions how much influence is human and what is natural. The hysteria needs to be dialled down as we all know fear creates irrational thinking and irrational thinking can end up doing more harm than good. Everyone wants to be virtuous and to be seen as good rather than actually being or doing good. It’s the same for every social justice cause out there. Steve is rational, coherent and admits he maybe doesn’t know everything but these climate zealots don’t. They believe they are completely right even though the jury is still out. If we want rid of fossil fuel then we need more nuclear but the climate activists don’t want that. Ok then let’s frack for Shale gas but the climate activities don’t want that. They want wind and solar which is great when Mother Nature provides both sun, wind etc in equal measure to heat and keep the lights on in every home. Maybe just maybe nuclear and shale combined with some solar energy whilst we continue to cut down our dependence on fossil fuels and innovate new technologies to combat carbon emissions might be the compromise. Then again China, India and other developing countries are only just starting to lift there citizens into the fossil fuel era and now we are shifting the goal posts because our morality and virtue signalling leaders have decided after benefiting in abundance to the technological advances fossil fuels gave us including that dirty old industrial revolution that lifted millions out of poverty which we sneer at with our full bellies and warm homes demonising decisions made by previous generations for wanting better lives. Greta Thunberg would not trade places with a girl born 150 years ago so to say her childhood has been stollen just proves what a privileged girl she is. Hey Greta go live in a village with no hot water or access to toilets or god forbid no electricity to charge up your smart phone to tweet your eco messages. But you won’t do that will you and neither would anyone else. Blair blah blah indeed!!
To all the world leaders and celebrities etc telling the plebs of the world to check our privileges, take less holidays, install expensive heat pumps, give up petrol cars, stop eating meat blah blah blah. Maybe if you practiced what you preach and stop flying all over the world in your private jets (Harry & Megan, Joe Biden etc etc) dumping god knows how many carbon emissions into the atmosphere, gave up your big expensive gas guzzling cars with entourages in tow and huge mansion houses that could home 6 families maybe then us plebs could take you more seriously. Until then give it a rest and let the rest of us have some peace from constantly being scolded like children. I listen to what someone says and then watch what they do. Funnily enough they rarely match.

Crop will never let the facts, science and evidence get in the way of his "thinkin"?

You have your heels dug in so deep on this C02 climate debate and shown 0 flexibility in your thought process given the evidence that C02 may not be the main villain holding the gun.
In a few years when funding for government scientists is cut back, many will have a revaluation and adjust their models, I was wondering will you be roasting your crow and potatoes with the roaster lid on or off.

Once you guys admit that human caused climate change is real, then we might make some progress.
More CO2 and hotter and dryer summers will be good for us! Right?

Legitimate arguments abound as to quantity and mitigation.
