    VW battery plant Ontario

So what’s the story on that boondoggle?

    #2
The boodoggle in Alberta and Saskatchewan is the tens of billions of dollars of cleanup for the oil industry that the the petro premiers want taxpayers to pay for!

This is the problem with Chuck and people like him.
Someone brings up a valid point ( such as the boondoggle that is the VW battery plant in Ontario) and they just bring up a completely useless argument that has NOTHING to do with a viable response. Such as, " the only boondoggle is the abandoned wells that will cost taxpayers billions"..

WE BLOODY WELL KNOW THIS. WE KNOW THIS.

NOW LETS LEARN A GOD DAMN LESSON AND DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT SO IT DOESNT HAPPEN AGAIN.
but but but but.. oil and gas... oil and gas...

YES OIL AND GAS SUCKS WITH WHAT THEY GOT AWAY WITH AND HOW MUCH IS LEFT TO THE TAXPAYERS TO SORT OUT>.

            deflect deflect deflect deflect.

Stating that this is the problem (singular) with Chuck would indicate that there is only one problem. HIs whataboutism is far from his only shortcoming.

We all know the oil sands received many subsidies, incentives and government help to get going but you seem to forget this?

And the oil industry still gets subsidies and wants taxpayers to pay for the cleanup which is another multi billion dollar subsidy!

But the only subsidies you ever mention are to the green economy? LOL

The Alberta Utilities Commission said it plain and simple so you can understand.

There is hardly any environmental risk or land loss in Alberta with the renewable sector when compared to oil and gas! Get it!

Of course it has made life better and so will other energy sources.

But even Steve Harper said we would stop burning fossil fuels as an energy source.

My solar electricity does the same job as any other electricity. Your toaster and coffee machine can't tell the difference.

Yup Harper did , logically by 2100 , not 2030

One MAJOR difference between the battery boondoggle and the abandoned wells is that gubmint has already taken in a lot of revenue in the form of royalties and other taxes from the wells. Thus far the battery boondoggle has been ALL costs and no revenue. Another major difference is that the orphan well fund is provincial and the royalties are provincial. The battery boondoggle has taxpayers in the west on the hook for battery plants in ontario and quebec. This why the administrators need to ban chuck from this site now otherwise he will drive the intelligent off of here.

That's not a libertarian view of the world is it? What happened to free speech? Is that only for right wingers?

But nuclear will run a coffee machine and get rid of coal and gas plants, but you are okay with that?
