Furthermore economists tend to disregard the fact that unfair taxes cause psychological distress. These unfair taxes are imposed on innocent targets that have no way to avoid the extra costs. This continuous stress has far-reaching consequences on families when costs of everything are increasing. People interviewed wonder why they are being punished in a country that causes no damage to the atmosphere and has no effect on carbon levels while the countries who are Carbon producers expand their Carbon producing industries yet they have no taxes.
