Driving to Texas this week, today we seen very good rains from Bismarck through South Dakota and Nebraska. Winter wheat in most parts is getting great start. Kansas is a different story it seems very dry with high winds. The winter wheat that we have seen along highway 83 is suffering.

Steady rain from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is sloppy great for getting the hay farmers going. Alfalfa had not popped, just a bit of grass leaf coming. Cold nights will not stunt the first, yet. Nice start for the season.
