I’ve stayed out of talking about the climate change debate as I honestly am no scientist. That said, the sky is falling crowd is as fanatical as a death cult. In another topic cc said I was comparing climate change proponents to Hitler but actually I was alluding to him and the fanatics. Even if carbon emissions are causing climate change what is the ultimate result? Will the results of the draconian measures if taken to the full extent be worth the consequences vs the consequences of not doing anything? I know there is the other argument if nothing is done and everything goes to hell in a hand basket but the biggest obstacle is no one can prove it either way. Kind of like religion, there is nobody who can quantifiably prove it either way with imperical evidence. That is why the fervour surrounding climate change has become religious and dogmatic in nature and I just tune out from it because emotion and want to believe comes into the equation. Furthermore, wiping out historic weather data from many years ago causes suspicion. Kind of like Nazis and commies burning books they didn’t agree with or Constantine determining which books would constitute the holy bible.

The few people who have dared to analyze the costs, such as the environmentalist Bjorn Lomborg have concluded that the do nothing option is far more cost effective in all ways.
And that is based on the unproven assumption that CO2 controls the climate in the first place. That discussion is even more taboo.

Wilton you keep bringing up the Nazi analogy along with stupid conspiracy theories which have been dismissed.
Even the probable next Conservative Prime Minister says human caused climate change is real.
So why do you remain so skeptical about something that is scientific fact?

Remember the watermelon analogy.
"greens" like Chuck are only green on the outside, and red on the inside.
Our watermelon isn't very swift though, doesn't even try to hide his communist aspirations. Often letting his true intentions shine through the green veneer.

Are you referring to the theory that CO2 is a greenhouse gas which could potentially cause global warming? Do you remember all the times I have asked you what the climate sensitivity to CO2 is? Do you remember all the times that you failed to find the scientific answer?
