Even if one were to take the view that subsidized public transit is a worthwhile investment. And I think that case can be made.
One then needs to ask, which would you invest in first? Will subsidize public transit in any way generate Capital which could be invested in drilling for oil? Or would drilling for oil generate Capital which could be invested into public transit?

This question is of course for the marxists on here. The answer is obvious to anyone else.

What about EVs chuck. Do you think subsidized EV plants are a better investment than LNG.

So Trudeau killed the oil industry?

How come they made record profits recently and production is increasing? Cue the crickets! Chirp Chirp!

            Try to keep up!

And making transportation more efficient is good for the economy. And so is investing in energy production and efficiency improvements including renewables which are lower cost sources.

But the climate change science deniers think that climate change has no cost and that pollution is good for us!

How is the smoke and heat warnings back again so soon for much of Alberta? Are they good for you?

Some smoke may mitigate the heat a bit?

              Can you arrange that Chuck?

Many of the last blast furnace July days have been tempered by northern smoke, not this year - so far.

Tell us chuck, which renewable investment is outpacing the entire GDP contribution of BC.

Just think, we had a dozen of these oil and LNG projects on tap until climate bedwetters shut them down. $100M a day from TMX.

Instead we are $2T in the hole with another 4m mouths to feed.
