when we started looking into the idea of moving to canada we could not believe how cheep land was here , looking back now i can see how farmers had been impoverished by CWB , how are you supposed to function if you don't have a clue when payment for your grain is going to come ? or if it will ever come

Yes and the conundrum was those who supported the board even though it kept them down. Stockholm Syndrome at its finest. Still some that support it but now don’t farm or at the least don’t do much grain anymore. Can remember a family whom were good right wing pious lot but darn never mention taking out the board. They voted liberal in protest of the govt taking out the board.

i know a few farmers too that back then wanted too keep CWB but now they say it being gone was the best thing ever happened
