I would bet the farm that he does this regularly. The politicians must encounter crazies on both sides of the spectrum so regularly that they have a predetermined response of "I'll look into it" rather than face the wrath of an angry chuckChuck.

What would you do if you were walking down the street when an angry foaming at the mouth chuck came up to you and stopped talking to the voices in his head long enough to start ranting and raving about flat earth, Danny and Curly and how CO2 is going to kill us all if we don't force everyone to get vaccinated. You would nod politely and agree, rather than escalate the situation.
