    C3/C4 Crops

There is no climate change. The earth will green under higher CO2.

Simple summary, crops in C3 photosynthesis will benefit from higher CO2 levels sequestering it in soil and enhanced photosynthesis, more growth, higher yeilds. C4 crops not so much. C3 crops - wheat lentils, canola, soy. C4 crops corn and kochia.

Other C3 plants include all trees on earth and boreal and rain forest vegetation.

    CO2 is discriminatory.
It discriminates against c4 plants. While preferentially helping c3 plants.
Corn was a native American plant. Therefore CO2 is racist.
We need to cancel co2. Lock its
Bank accounts. Perhaps trample CO2 and it's grandmother with horses.

It is not the lack of CO2 that is an issue. Crops do not grow well when extremes occur.

In my neck of the woods rain is always the deciding factor with crop growth and development. Period.

That is false. Crops handle stress, especially drought stress, far better at higher levels of CO2.

Maybe if CO2 caused snorkel to grow.

Galaxie said it first, moisture is the most important limiting factor in crop growth on the prairies, especially in the south and it's far more important than CO2.

But A5 who says we are going to run out of CO2 if we don't keep burning fossil fuels is pretty sure more CO2 and more frequent and intense extremes are going to be good for us!

Your science has been refuted chuck, fully. Now take a hint and self ban yourself. CO2 will be a boon to agriculture and vegetative growth on this planet and those same plants will sequester it away at the same time. All climate bedwetters can rest easy.

Refuted by who? By you and A5 both who don't understand basic climate science?

                    That's a laugh!

A5 runs away every time when asked for evidence or even a link or reference from a credible scientific organization!

Chuck, you are a big proponent of scientific literature. Can you find any peer-reviewed papers to back up your assertion that higher CO2 does not help plants cope with drought better?

Your previous post contradicts all of the scientific literature that I have ever seen.

Just bumping this post up because Chuck must have missed it. He's generally very efficient about responding with credible scientific evidence to back up his claims.

At auckland airport time to kill thought id have look at agriville.

100% agree jazz wether or not climate change happens our rainfall here will actually increase if it warms

The narrative is changing or is it common sense or middle ground who knows.

I never said anything about CO2 and drought.

But what I said is that a moisture shortage along hotter and dryer summers will still be the biggest limiting factor on yields.

Increasing CO2 levels won't change this.

Were the recent low drought yields in southern Alberta higher because of higher CO2 levels?

chuck have you found a peer reviewed article yet to counter the C3/C4 settled science.

Be happy, your alleged 40 quarter farm is going to be making tons of cash.
