looks like the science changed on one random day in July ! BC just dropped the mandates for healthcare workers

"Fired workers can now apply for jobs"

    That's rich.

    What do they think?

They have been sitting at home jerking off all day like the work from home government employees?

What i find interesting is 2,500 healthcare workers were willing to walk away from their job rather than take untested jab , cant see many of them returning since bill C36 has been passed

I agree. Not sure why I would as a fired healthcare worker want to return. This comes down to the Provincial NDP seeing the provincial Conservatives closing to within 4% points in polling. The policies around Covid were certainly more about politics than science.

More about politics than science? Huh? Says who?

Then explain why every premier including Jason Kenney, Scott Moe and Doug Ford, in the country had covid measures and mandates to prevent the healthcare system from collapsing and reduce the impact of covid?

Many of you whined about how long it took to Canada get vaccines. Then you changed your minds on covid and vaccines and started saying it wasn't a real threat. And then ivermectin was more effective than vaccines?

And now some you still seem to think the vaccines cause excess deaths and were part of the "plandemic" to kill people.

Almost everyone of us had the full slate of childhood vaccines that saved us from many dangerous life threatning diseases.

And still the antivaxer covid deniers want us to return to an era before vaccines?

Every province in the country still recommends the flu and covid vaccines.

But don't let that stop you from your claims that they aren't safe or dont work!

They all would done things differently, because they are so brilliant. None of them had the responsibility of making life and death decisions. Very easy to criticize when you don't have to make decisions.

lots i could say but whats the point ? after all the contradictions of the past 4 years if somebody has not woke up i don't think they ever will , recent example when fouchi was asked about 6 ft distance rule , he said it just came up ! while all the way he said he was following the science

As more evidence from mutating virus and a dynamic pandemic came in recommendations changed and evolved.

But Crop you would rather take us back to an era before vaccines and science and face a pandemic on your own with no information?

Sounds like the you want us to go back to the era of the great plagues of Europe that wiped out a large percentage of the population over several centuries.

No doubt you don't trust healthcare experts or doctors, avoid their services, and do your own diagnosing and treatment?

                  Good luck with that!

In the National Post, published today: “Amy Hamm: Bonnie Henry’s pointless vaccine mandate crashed B.C.’s health-care system.”

”A mere eight days after John Rustad, likely the next premier of B.C., made an election promise to rescind B.C.’s vaccine mandate public health order — Dr. Henry herself rescinded it.”

”It was naked political calculus by the provincial health officer.”

                    Interesting article.

It's not as if the Alberta premier would be political with covid and vaccines? Naw that would never happen!

The pandemic has been more or less over for several months. Covid is endemic and much less of a threat now that most of the population has lots of immunity.

Hmmm, any chance you read the article? Why did Bonnie Henry suddenly remove the vaccine mandate for health workers? Only province in Canada that still had one!!

Yes because the Provinces are underfunding healthcare and healthcare education on purpose.

Lower taxes and resource royalties are more important for their business friends!

And only a very small number of healthcare workers refused the vaccines.

If you want a job in healthcare you are supposed to follow the employers work requirements regardless of whether you disagree with them.

So you think workers can do as they please when it comes to health and safety in a hospital?

How much funding would be enough for healthcare?

                              What percent of GDP?

Do you think 100% of GDP would be enough to meet demand when the cost to consumers is free?

To tie this in with the other thread well you are embarrassing yourself with trying to discuss economics.

Do you think there will be more money to spend on health Care if a country is running a trade deficit or a trade surplus? What proportion of healthcare dollars require imports? Most of the pharmaceuticals. Most of the medical equipment. Maintenance and upkeep and subscriptions on medical equipment and programs. All of the computer programs and systems. With a trade deficit which you seem to be promoting, Where does the currency come from to import these goods and services to support the healthcare system?
