Cloud seeding is probably a very poor way to mitigate drought. As you point out , results can be catastrophic. Vaccination other other hand , has proven benefits.

Cloud seeding in Canada is not being done for drought. Purely for hail insurance.

Perhaps you should make the effort to inform yourself about the topic before picking a fight. Don't be a Chuckchuck.

Probably shouldn't have used that analogy. It too easily puts a quarter in the jukebox to hear the same sad song yet again.

Back to hail. Haven't seen a bad one right here in years. Still happens around. Less frequent?? I have wondered if seeding has made the difference this far East.

Since you don't like the covid analogy, how about a more closely related weather analogy.
Canada raised the CO2 tax on April fool's Day of this year. With the stated goal of making our climate colder. Immediately following that, our area suffered from the coldest spring in recent memory. We had a killing Frost in the middle of may. Multiple killing frosts in the middle of June. Heat units were way below normal.

Can you prove that the CO2 tax increase caused the cold weather? Likewise, is there any way I can prove that it didn't cause that result?

That's the trouble with hail, it is so sporadic that doing a statistical analysis to prove cause and effect is futile.

I bought a quarter of land in 2000. Around 2017, after getting hail nearly every year on this particular piece, and often only on this piece, I asked the former owner how often it had been hailed while he owned it. The answer was never. Since then it has only been hailed twice.

I’ve farmed a few quarters I rent from family 7 miles away. It gets hail 1 in 3 years. Rest of the farm never a big problem but now finding a spot is into the same pattern. Least I don’t need a boat moored to the deck like in Matinoba.

In this case. The patient was the populated area of calgary. The medical intervention was cloud seeding. The outcome was a massive hail storm over calgary, with the associated massive property damage.

There is no definitive way to prove that it would have been worse without the intervention.

Seems eerily familiar to all the people I know who were hospitalized after getting the vaccine, and we're reassured that it would have been much worse if they hadn't been vaccinated.

As for the poor grammar in the unintelligible comment, you'll have to take that up with Google speech to text. And because the site was down I was unable to edit afterwards [/QUOTE]

                  Huh?

In the case of vaccines its well documented that vaccines reduced the severity of the disease.

But don't let scientific evidence get in the way of your unproven off the wall opinions!

Are you suggesting that I would ever post something just to push the trolls buttons?

And does it work every time without fail?

Yes, I am a big part of the problem here in Chuck's asylum.
