So which US states are enjoying cheaper electricity thanks to wind and solar?

Surely you can find a real world example that backs up what Lazard claims.

You can also ask Sask Power if you want.
Who should I call at SaskPower?
im just saying if all this “green energy” is so cost efficient we’d be seeing the numbers.

Tsipper, you can call the customer service line.

And A5 is there any place on earth where electricity prices, regardless of their generating sources, are not going up?

Generation costs are only a portion of system costs so unless you have system analysis you can't tell what is increasing the costs.

Sask Power has clearly said the lowest cost new generation sources are wind and solar.

Some of cheapest sources are existing renewables are hydro from Quebec and Manitoba.

Both Texas and North Dakota have very significant amounts of wind energy.

The Impact of Renewable Energy and Helps Offset Higher Rates
Among renewable energy sources in Texas, wind power is the most produced, actually leading the entire country in wind energy generation.
According to a study referenced in the Dallas News (https://www.dallasnews.com/news/2022/10/18/study-solar-and-wind-energy-saved-texas-customers-more-than-7-billion-in-2022-so-far/), in 2022 solar and wind energy saved consumers over $7 billion, due to the lower operating costs of wind and solar projects compared to traditional fossil fuel-based power plants. And the Texas Association of Business) states that not only does renewable energy contribute greatly to our state’s economy – including a remarkable forecast of $16.7 billion in local tax revenue – it also benefits residents and businesses when it comes to energy prices. Estimates made in 2022 predicted that ERCOT market costs will decrease by up to $11 billion per year, thanks to new renewable energy production.

Study: Solar and wind energy saved Texas customers more than $7 billion in 2022 so far

Researchers examined how much more expensive electricity would have been if the Texas grid did not use wind and solar power.

Didn't Texas have a huge amount of damage when they had a cold snap a couple of yrs ago?
The power grid went down because they depended to much on unreliable sources?
Wasn't wind considered to be largely the main cause of that failure?

Do you know what state has cheaper electricity rates than Texas does? Right next door, Louisiana enjoys cheaper electricity.
Almost entirely from natural gas and coal.
Wind and solar aren't even a rounding error in their total production. Same latitude, similar climate, similar demand

How do you explain that?

So the title of Chuck's article is literally "why is electricity so expensive in Texas"

And Chuck presents an article about how expensive electricity prices in Texas are as proof that wind and solar result in cheaper electricity.

Then the articles on to explain how much worse it would have been if not for the addition of expensive destabilizing wind and solar.
Reminds me of covid, where every time someone died or was extremely sick, and we were told to just consider how much worse that would have been if they weren't vaccinated.

Have you considered a career in comedy chuck?
You're above posts were comedy gold.

"Scientists found that over a span of almost 12 years, from 2010 to August 2021, Texas consumers saved up to $27.8 billion from the grid’s adoption of solar and wind energy sources. Researchers compared ERCOT’s actual market performance, which has adapted such renewables, with a market that relied solely on natural gas, coal and nuclear power. These numbers indicate that consumers were able to save “significantly.”

“Texans would have had to pay 27.8 billion more dollars over that period of time because eventually the customer always pays,” head researcher Rhodes said.

One of the main ways renewable energy cuts costs is by “providing energy at zero or near-zero prices,” which results in lower overall market prices for the consumer, he said. In the free market bidding system, the most expensive power plant sets the price for everyone else, Rhodes explained."

So A5 wont take Sask Powers word that renewables are lower cost or that renewables in Texas reduced electricity prices.

Nor that Lazard LCOE that studies a wide range of US electricity generation sources also shows the low cost of renewables.

Multiple sources that make it clear that renewables are lower cost.

And of course the guy who says we need more CO2 in the atmosphere would deny that wind and solar are lower cost!

No surprise there!
