Chuck, you keep posting the statistic that the lifespan of a natural gas plant is only 25 to 30 years.
Do you know what the source of that figure is?
I'm not aware of any natural gas generation that has been decommissioned due to old age.

Don’t Wind And Solar Projects Have Short Lifespans?

Reality: The average lifespan of newer wind turbines is more than 30 years. For a solar facility, it’s also about 25 to 30 years. With good maintenance, that can be even longer!

Background: For a comparison, the average lifespan for a natural gas power station is also 25 to 30 years.
      ?
I’ve seen a lot of stupid from you but this is one of the stupidest things you’ve posted today. Today isn’t over yet so I won’t hold my breath!

I'm also curious how the author knows the lifespan of newer wind turbines.

Do they have a time machine where they can go into the future and see how long they will last?

Or is this based on the same type of models which predicted climate and energy costs from renewables?

The lifespan of gas plants is from Sask Power. Read it yourself!

So do you think they don't know what they are talking about?

And gas plant boilers can be updated, rebuilt and refitted when they are at the end of their useful life. Which according to Sask Power is about 25-30 years.

But the flat earthers won't believe anything that doesn't fit their distorted view of the world! LOL
