    We don't need a senate.

But what we do need is a house that represents the votes of Canadians.

At present Atlantic Canada has 30 senators. Total population of Atlantic Canada(Nova Scotia, NewBrunswick, Newfoundland and PEI) is roughly 2.5 million. Alberta with a population approaching 5 million has 6 senators. How is that for equitable?! And yes I do think we need a senate but it needs to be far more regionally equitable and it needs to be more effective!!

    ?
You said it. Still think we need a second body like the senate with a more regional view vs rep by pop like HOc. NDP figures senate be abolished but that’s juvenile wet behind the ears thinking. Senate is there to prevent a tyranny of the majority. Provided capable and elected people make up the senate. Socialists think they’re always right and can’t handle criticism so no need for a secondary chamber to question you.

Electoral reform has been a shot down buzzword for a century or more.
      I'm open to all concepts.
A PR system will result in a future of coalition governments. Okay.....
But why now and who when all talk of change has been futile previously?
And who has been blocking it for so long? The same people with the most to lose in PR perhaps.....
An elected Senate with equal Senators from each province will never happen for the same reasons.
      Although it still has merit.
And then I tried to draw a line through some of this.
I don't wish to denounce PR simply based on the people who are on fair vote.ca
      But why now?
Fair vote made up entirely of the granola crowd.
AB-SK couldn't get talk of change for 100 years, but it's okay for Chuck and Suzuki to talk about it now. Oh yeah, Nathaniel Erskine-Smith (bill c-293) is on the board too.
Canada will continue to become more like Europe. Look closely, is that what you want? Maybe we already are.
Change is needed but it's who's asking that concerns me here.
And most importantly, how does this affect Quebec? Francophonie First will die.
Thank you for the thought provoking post.

That will go down in history as the ultimate attempt to gaslight an entire country.

Unless Trudeau can invoke a war measure act the landslide will be historic and the NDP will be non existent

Before he goes he has to travel some more and gift a lot more foreign aid to dictators.
Expect to hear a lot more like this in the next yr.

"$16 million to support access to education, women and girls, youth health and the safety of communities in French-speaking African"

We got all kinds of money for projects that don't exist.

i see the liberals are using the Charter of Rights to ward off requests by the Conservatives on releasing Green Slush Fund documents.

As an individual truthfully commented, the Charter was put in place to protect citizens from government, not protect politicians from prison.

Maybe we should set up some bogus women’s abortion clinic in Nigeria and get in line, like good lefties.

Sleepy Joe just dunked Kamala’s campaign. He admitted their illegal actions. When Kamala is questioned about hurricane relief fund missing and spent on illegal immigrants, Kamala seemed phased but then along comes Sleepy Joe and he vehemently confirms that he and Kamala are singing from the same songbook and Kamala is an integral part of every executive decision made. They couldn’t quite get rid of Joe without permanently installing a sock in his mouth.

Then yesterday she announced $170 million plus to Lebanon meanwhile zero money for tens of thousands of taxpayers devastated by the last Hurricane in her own country.
What complete ignorance by both leftist governments in the USA and Canada recently, it’s mind boggling anyone supports these clowns
