Do you have any idea why we don't have ice core data older than 800,000 years?

Could it be because throughout most of earth's history there were no ice sheets? And life thrived in those warmer conditions which resulted in CO2 levels as much as 10 times higher than currently.

Huh? There was no ice before 800,000 years ago? LOL

Wrong again!

That's as far back as scientists have ice core data and not because there was no ice before 800,000 years!

That's an obviously stupid thing you have said and shows you know very little!

"Ice cores are cylinders of ice drilled out of an ice sheet or glacier. Most ice core records come from Antarctica and Greenland, and the longest ice cores extend to 3km in depth. The oldest continuous ice core records to date extend 123,000 years in Greenland and 800,000 years in Antarctica. Ice cores contain information about past temperature, and about many other aspects of the environment. Crucially, the ice encloses small bubbles of air that contain a sample of the atmosphere – from these it is possible to measure directly the past concentration of atmospheric gases, including the major greenhouse gases: carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide.

You don't have to go that far back on Greenland:

In 2019, Bierman gained access to long-lost frozen soil samples collected from the world’s first deep ice core. Upon examining the rare material in his lab at UVM, he and his team made an astonishing discovery: Perfectly preserved leaves, twigs, and moss. These findings revealed that Greenland’s ice sheet had melted naturally about 400,000 years ago

Remember all the times I have offered you the advice, of when you find yourself in a hole, stop digging?

That is what the ice core scientists had to do when they reached the bottom of the ice. What they discovered was not only that it had been ice free, but had been ice free for so long that they had been colonized by plants and trees and fauna.

You have cherry picked the period in which these formerly green regions of earth were buried under miles of ice. Which period do you suppose supported more life on earth?

Greenlands ice was all gone with just 300 ppm of CO2. There's a clue for you Jethro!

What the hell do you think will happen at 420 ppm?

And the ice was all gone in Antarctica as well?

Did you check to see what the worlds coast lines looked like 400,000 years ago? No future cities under water? LOL

You are climate change denying fool A5!

It is a clue that CO2 is not the cause of climate cycles. How do you explain the ice melting at 300 ppm, when we are told that CO2 is the only cause?

Why do you ask that question in the future tense?
You can look out your window and see what is happening at 420 ppm right now. No speculation or computer models required.
The globe is greening.
Food production is surging, requiring less acres per calorie produced.
The weather ( or climate) continues to improve by all measures.
Humans ability to withstand weather extremes continue to improve.
Deaths from natural disaster continue plummeting.

Sure A5 all is fine in your very small utopian libertarian wonderland!

Are you saying NASA and all scientists are wrong about greenhouse gases warming the planet?

Wrong again A5! Pure climate change denial crap!

From NASA:

Scientists demonstrated the heat-trapping nature of carbon dioxide and other gases in the mid-19th century.2 (https://science.nasa.gov/climate-change/evidence/#footnote_2) Many of the science instruments NASA uses to study our climate focus on how these gases affect the movement of infrared radiation through the atmosphere. From the measured impacts of increases in these gases, there is no question that increased greenhouse gas levels warm Earth in response.??

"Earth's climate has changed throughout history. Just in the last 800,000 years, there have been eight cycles of ice ages and warmer periods, with the end of the last ice age about 11,700 years ago marking the beginning of the modern climate era — and of human civilization. Most of these climate changes are attributed to very small variations in Earth’s orbit (http://climate.nasa.gov/blog/2949/why-milankovitch-orbital-cycles-cant-explain-earths-current-warming/) that change the amount of solar energy our planet receives.?"
