Well the idea that progressive centre left voters are the minority is wrong.
The Liberals, NDP, the Bloc and the Greens are more or less still 60% of voters while Conservatives have gone from 30 - 40% since Harper lost.
Our archaic first past the post winner take all system that Australia and New Zealand got rid of, doesn't represent the voters very well.

Since Sask Party united the PC and Liberals they routinely get 50% +.
The federal LPC campaigned on voter reform in 2015 but left thing the way they are after seeing how it would work out.

But the NDP is a mainstream choice for many voters in Western Canada. Including in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
So you and your hyper partisan friends can stop with the everybody who votes NDP is a communist crap!

And what about all the unionized workers in rural Alberta who vote UCP?
PP is courting the union vote and must think unions are just fine.
Unlike many of the rural right who are anti union even though many of their spouses are well paid government healthcare workers and teachers who have union jobs!
