Not sure we have lost buying power.at one time I bought a half .that guy bought a house with that money.later in years that house was worth 3 times what that half was worth.Now that half is worth twice what the house is worth.So my buying power hs increased.

Since this thread was about being thankful. Here's something I think we could all agree about being grateful for.
The fact that we so far still have the freedom of speech that allows the trolls to spread their propaganda, and allows the rest of us to debunk it without fear of reprisal. Be thankful that the proprietors of this website are free to allow this debate without fear of being held legally liable for the opinions of the posters.

But as of today, Chuck is still free to spread fake news and misinformation without consequence. It is not illegal for him to invent and spread lies such as safe and effective or hottest year ever or cheapest electricity etc.
