How does as Conservative justify that twisted pretzel of a policy?
Ritz handed our grain industry to the oligopoly that keeps shrinking! Way to go dumbass!
And the cattle industry has been accused and is guilty of price fixing and manipulation for decades too.
But you still naively believe in marketing freedom? LOL

I just checked, and as expected, the NFU defends supply management, because apparently it is good for consumers? Figure that one out...
Or is this just an extension of his contempt for any successful farmer/business?

Any time my super elderly uncle whom was a cwb supporter and quit farming decades before I was born would entertain me with stories about sleighing grain and timber through the hills I gained appreciation for the bull work they did and the screwing they got but realized it was a completely different time. Much like how gay people or natives got their asses beaten for who they were. Times change.

Any comparison between the information age we live in now in which any farmer can instantly access grain prices from anywhere on the globe, vs. the wild west pre CWB days is meaningless.

You and your buddies got enough to fill a freighter yet?
It's great to have the international prices.
But what influence does that global price information have on your ability to negotiate with the local elevator?
"Hey Pete you know Russia just sold a cargo of wheat to Egypt for this amount and I think you are short $50 cents on your offer!" I am sure Pete caves every time and ups his bid to you!
Do you sell all your inventory at the peek of the market every year because you know what the Australians or Russians are selling for?
No doubt you think that you know more than all the professional traders on their desks around the world who have access to a significant research staff and resources on the ground in every major market and producing region around the world!
All from the basement on some Alberta farm in between all the other farm work you may or may not get done!
I am betting you spend way more time on Agrisilly than you do looking at international prices and markets!
And you are just a price taker with little influence like the rest of us!
