Someone on the radio today said 29 rural ridings are unlikely to change so there might be 2 to 4 city ridings that won't go NDP.

Looks like the old Indian Head - Milestone constituency has been lost to redrawing of Provincial constituency boundaries.

Sask Party majority with about 53% of the vote.
NDP had about 39%
Other right parties had about 6% and may have cost 1 or 2 city ridings?
Scott Moe's riding had a significant Sask United vote.

Media did their best but still too many memories in rural?
They seemed to think right to the end the NDP were going to win with 40% of the vote.

At least sk party staved off an orange wave. Romanow and Calvert days are still burned into people’s brains. Moe and Co need to see this as a wake up call and do better. As was stated in his victory speech he got the message from voters and was humbled. Let’s see if things change.

So the question is why did Moe burn so much political capital in the cities on the pronoun issue and change room issue catering to the rural fringe social conservatives in the extremist SUP?

He was looking really scared with the emergency debates, not withstanding exemption and the declaration of change rooms as the number one issue!

All in the guise of protecting children? Huh?

Kids are at risk in overcrowded classrooms with few supports and with shitty healthcare and supports for mental healthcare. And then Moe plays gutter politics by punching down on the most vulnerable kids for just a few fringe votes that were not needed? Higgs got the boot on this issue.

Moe lost the cities, plus several key Minsters and MLA's.

BC rejected the fringe right of Rustad The NDP got 44% of the vote in Alberta last election. Manitoba elected a new NDP government last year.

That's a lot of NDP gains and success.

Now its time for some of the most stridently anti NDP bashers on Agrisilly to face the facts that the NDP is a political force in all 4 western provinces!

So dial down your stupid over the top claims about the NDP being far left communists because the election results suggest other wise.

Moe will struggle as he faces a much stronger well financed opposition that will drag his tired party over the coals.

And with PP and the CPC in power he loses his favorite and productive issue, bashing the federal government.

And now he will be forced to focus on the issues that are going to bring him down if he doesn't listen. Healthcare and education.

The NDP will have a large positive influence in the next 4 years.

Observing from Alberta there is no doubt urbanites like more government than rural residents. I am certainly glad to see Premier Moe re-elected and people like Chuck2 can say what they will, personally I will never vote NDP or support many of their policies.

Actually Chuck2 I don’t consider myself a social conservative but I will say that when determining the sex of a person I will defer to their biological make up at birth rather than what sex they wish to identify as on any given day. Now if in your world that makes me uneducated or a science denier than I would say that it is you that has the problem not me.
