Computers-The Perfect Opportunity

To prove integrity of the electoral process or conversely to steal an election. Computers can be programmed to deliver whatever the programmer desires as outcome.

If you took Computer Science 101 at University, you completed the course with a program that manipulated data to give a totally different looking result from what you entered. The purpose of an internal command is to create pre-determined output.

Any check-run auditor can tell you that part of the process for ensuring accurate payments is manual verification of each run. The auditor manually calculates the total and compares it to the computer total to make sure that the program is correct and the output matches the input. “ The proof is in the pudding. “

I don’t think computers should be legal to use in an election for the very reason that internal commands can take reams of input and come out with output that is not correct without the user knowing unless the run is auditted.

I am no computer genius but I just wonder what checks and balances are in place with election computers. I’m not saying that computer elections are rigged but I wonder about opportunity. Who is guaranteeing the accuracy of the count?

Fox news paid nearly $800 Million to Dominion Voting Systems in a law suit when they made false claims about their voting machines.

Of course Conservative and Republican losers will blame just about anything for losing elections because they can't believe not everybody agrees with them! LOL

We have independent election organizations to oversee the integrity of the electoral process across Canada.

And it is very sound, credible and much fairer than the hyper partisan state interference in the US where gerrymandering and deregistration and difficult registration processes are used to stifle opposition.

Canadians are automatically registered in most cases!

Watched a guy on PBD podcast , harry hursti, a finnish guy (believe he was also in documentary about hacking elections... he spoke.of ( and did during the podcast) a computer hack of a vote counting machine. Super interesting. He also callled.out and debunked the "mypillow guy" mike lindell ( who may be crazy as the day is long) about his 3 day conference about the 2020 election steal.

Really interesting stuff so chuckchuck aint wrong. But also aint right. Election machines can, unfortunately, be hacked. I hope the safeguards in place will.protect the US election.

sidenote; not sure if anyone has looked at the early voting results but things are definitely looking positive for Trump. Not great news for Canada... but at the end of the day i think trudeau might be the current worst thing happening here!

Most voting machines are not connected to the internet.

However, multiple reviews into 2020 voter fraud claims (https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/fact-checking-trumps-claims-election-integrity/story?id=109171415) and a landmark defamation lawsuit (https://abcnews.go.com/US/live-updates/dominion-fox/?id=98632690) between Dominion Voting Systems and Fox News found the vote-rigging conspiracy theories, and Trump's assertion he won the election over President Joe Biden, to be unfounded.

In April 2023, Dominion reached a nearly $800 million settlement (https://abcnews.go.com/US/live-updates/dominion-fox/?id=98632690) with Fox for spreading the false theories across the conservative news stations' platforms.

Additionally, state and federal courts dismissed more than 60 lawsuits (https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/fact-checking-trumps-claims-election-integrity/story?id=109171415) across six states from Trump and his allies aiming to overturn the 2020 election results.

What will you bet that in about 5 days, all of folks who for the past 4 years have been staunch defenders of electronic voting machines, and the integrity of the election system suddenly switch sides and become the conspiracy theorists claiming a stolen election?

This election will be tight either way. I watch both camps predicting on YouTube. Each side figures they got it won. The ones who win are those who play the best ground game election day. Identifying their voters and getting them out and convincing the non supporters to be apathetic.

What will be interesting, and not accounted for in any polls is how many of the 10 million recent illegal immigrants actually get to vote and who they vote for
it is possible that illegal immigrants, who don’t have to show ID in some states could decide the US election not even having citizenship .

Thats actually how much of a circus ???? politics has gotten now

There is no need for electronic voting machines or tabulators. they don't speed the process and even if you think it hasn't enabled cheating so far there's no dooubt it can.
Just yesterday the secretary of state Colorado " accidentally leaked" the passwords to state voting machines this week.
Dominion is owned by Staple street capitol , founders are straight out of the carlyle group
which is CIA deep state.... CIA was created to influence elections and is able to lawfare the sh(t out of any opposition

I don't know enough about this issue to even have an opinion.
But do you have data to refute what A990 is claiming?
Or just copying Chuck's trademark agrisilly insults because the facts aren't on your side?

Don't be a Chuck. Use mature fact based arguments instead.

There is no data to support those claims other than internet conspiracies. If you wish to live in that world , go for it. I would rather live in the real world.

So present the counter evidence that proves A990 is wrong.

Don't lower yourself to Chuck's level of just throwing around insults. Make some effort to prove him factually wrong. You could set a good example for Chuck to follow.
