I am certainly baffled Foragefarmer, I am quite convinced that your a centre-right government skeptic like myself yet you and AB5 continue to have pissing matches. Interestingly enough my accountant during Covid felt there were government programs that I should take advantage of. I did let him apply for one with great hesitation. I pointed out to him that I really wasn’t in a situation that I wanted or needed the money from government. He said whether I take it or not the government would spend the money, no doubt an unfortunate truth. I am not in Agristability and certainly no fan of government involvement in my operation.

Hamloc, I've given up on all polictical parties within Canada as I personally feel NONE of the current leaders are qualified to govern Canada. I do love this country and still think it's the best in the world in spite of the our useless leaders.

I don't put myself in any corner regarding left or right, there are lonnies at both ends. In fact I find both extremes a liability to progress within Canada. They are holding the rest of us back.

I do believe as a nation we should help those that need help, but unfortunately there are far to many Canadians of all makes not pulling their weight.

Think im a bit like forage conservative but i have voted for alternate parties twice but since then realize its a wasted vote.
Recent state election here Qld a resource rich state been left govt for 10 yrs huge swing to conservatives and pro mining policies etc greens almost a non party now.
Reality elections like a pendulum here in oz. two terms conservative one term socialist rinse repeat history "sort off" shows it but more often than not its swinging voters in middle that decide elections.

Funny though above mentioned election unions joined with conservatives almost. Save there jobs and people want cheap power.

Been voting for 42 years absolutely zero idea what austalian govt stance is on abortions or laws or anything about it. A non issue here never ever mentioned.

It shouldn't be. The government shouldn't be making these decisions anymore than they should be forcing people to get vaccines. But you keep bringing it up as if that is the typical scenario.
