Today everybody's solar output went to zero, zilch, goose egg. Freezing rain and 4 inches of snow in 6 hours covered up every solar panel for 600 hundred miles. Our neighbours spent $75,000 for their set-Up on their farm - now they need dreaded natural gas to get them through the winter.

Its the silly season again, so the knuckle heads start to talk about how solar and wind don't work in winter!
But they conveniently never say anything about the rest of the year! Funny that!
Our solar system covers all our average usage at a lower cost than Sask Power. Have hardly paid for 35,000 kwh of electricity per year since 2018! All carbon tax free!
Its not fossil fuels or wind and solar! You can have both and Texas and North Dakota prove they work just fine.

The cost is about 8 cents per kwh over its lifetime.
Sask Power is 14 cents. Alberta is higher than that!
And Utility scale solar can produce for 3-4 cents per Kwh whole sale

Lol. Cmon chuck. Youre better than that.
You cant say its 8 c/ kwh over its lifetime cuz you dont know its lifetime. If you have 5 panels fail and last 2/3rds their expected lifetime..... then that 8 c/kwh goes up. Also, for the record.. im locked in at 8.1 c/ kwh on electricity. And i live in alberta. Dont spread rumors.

It could ALSO last alot lomger or give out more juice per year with more sunny days (lowering the cost/ kwh)
Lol. I do get a kick out of this though and all the negative nancies.
"TODAY THE SUN EXPLODED
hahhahhahah
Your solar panels wont work anymore!!"
Solar panels arent the end all and be all...but they help the situation. If someone is willing to pony up the money to install.... then good on em. Why would anyone see a negative in this?

Who wants all that work, depreciation, and maintenance.
We left all that behind when we got rural electrification.
Invest the $70K in a renewables company like Enbridge.
They know how to take advantage of all the government freebies.
Pay 6% plus dividend.
Stock currently is up 29% Y/Y.
Home based solar only works at all because of virtue signaling government programs.
You have to be on the grid for back up and programs change with the times.

What are the other components that need to be charged for?
plus u cant factor in interest. Not an applicable cost if people pay cash.
