So to sum it all up your saying out of control immigration and drug trafficking is going to ruin us?

I wouldn't waste much effort trying to have a meaningful discussion about this topic with someone who doesn't apparently understand that the US refineries are set up for the type of heavy crude coming from the oil sands, while the fracking revolution is producing almost exclusively light sweet oil. Necessitating imports from somewhere blend with. That somewhere is no longer Venezuela given the collapse in output.

A one year term Trump is already a lame duck with mid terms just over 2 years away. It will take years to revive the Keystone.

And why would any oil company want to be more dependent on the US when other markets that don't threaten or impose tariffs also want our oil?

Lower quality WCS will never be priced the same as WTI!

All the paperwork, approvals are done. Pipeline is in the ground, only a few feet to finish to Canada, take a week to connect.

They have gone south of Oyen just across the saskatchewan border, I believe. They still have a few hundred miles in Canada and several hundred in the US.

Not sure if it is correct but CBC is reporting that the easements have reverted back to the land owners.

Anyway. Not super quick to complete.

2 or 3 years maybe, but not 10.

I have no idea what oil prices will do.

But if Trump produces more oil and the world's economy looses more steam and demand drops, then OPEC will cut production to keep oil prices higher anyway. Production has gone a way up under Biden.

But at least you can look forward to 25% tariffs making life better!
              Drill baby drill!

Do you really think drillers are confident that demand will go up enough to offset the tariffs?
