    I may be wrong but.
This entire topic has always been pure fantasy. A very small number would ever vote for it. Even if it was possible.
Given the chance I likely would however. A traitor? Perhaps only the winner gets to decide that label.
By that measure Quebec has always been one. It would be nice to have what they do wouldn't it?
    Chuck's label fits dictator nicely.
And let's not even start how allegiance to a king all these years has warped our direction. That's a book in itself.

I don't recall the majority voting for a carbon tax or covid restrictions or wef agenda or unrestricted immigration or waging war against Russia etc.
Yet that hasn't stopped governments from implementing these policies and spending our tax dollars on them, because they think they know better than the voters and taxpayers.

Harper just took on a roll to try to get back the investment atmosphere that Alberta has lost the last few years.Billions in pension funds pulled put and they must be afraid more money will be pulled out of Alberta.

I would vote for that in a second. Our standard of living would increase immediately. I just don’t want the crowds that would inevitably come.

Or possibly the crowds that would leave. Better yet.

                Kinda two different things?
BIlls enacted by a majority federal govt with a puppet senate.
I was referring to the population of AB if a vote was held.
                Either way, an impossible scenario.

Partly the reason I support maximum belligerence by the premiers. It's all we have left. And in another generation no one here will even care anymore. Have you considered our demographics lately?

Trump was simply mocking Trudeau again .
Trump has been kidding about this kinda thing since he was in the first time .
Trump knows Trudeau will be gone soon , and he will dealing with PP .

Our demographics, Alberta that is, is the best in canada. And the Gap is widening. Which is why an Alberta pension plan is such a threat to the viability of the entire system. And why it is used as leverage.

I also doubt that a majority of westerners would ever see the light and realize how much better off financially we would be without the
                     albatross around our neck.

Which is why it will have to be initiated from above.

I really expect at some point the US will just declare Canadian government a threat to their security and pluck off the pieces they want.

The recent Chinese election interference is playing right into that.

                      Half the province votes NDP.
                      Enough said?
Go to the coffeeshop and attempt a discussion about pension or health care. Nothing going to change.

US doesn't need to be legally responsible for something it already steers.
