Obama was Time's person of the year too.

But Trumps legacy will be closer to Putin's.

Trump is already telling Ukrainans not to send missiles deep into Russia! He doesn't want his buddy Vlad to lose anymore territory in the Ukraine.

Trump, Putin, Iran, North Korea and China. Trump admires all his authoritarian dictator friends!

Hmmm, so Trudeau said he admired China and its political system, he also said wonderful things about Fidel Castro. You constantly trumpet and promote Trudeau policies and give non answers like Trudeau. Am I a Trump fan? Certainly not. Time will tell if he damages the U.S. as much as Trudeau has Canada!

You are all up in arms about Trumps tariffs. What are your thoughts on reports that Trudeau is contemplating export taxes on oil, gas, uranium and potash?

Chuck wants to shut all those industries down anyways.

Who said anything about shutting down industry?

Even Steve Harper said we will stop burning fossil fuels for energy by the year 2100. Was he wrong and a commie environmentalist?

Replacing fossil energy sources with effective cleaner and lower cost more efficient sources in a transition over time is what is needed. That's not shutting down essential industries.

But some of the yokels on this site are still thinking its only one or the other!

And further they wrongly say renewables don't work which is bullshit, otherwise Texas, North Dakota, Alberta and Saskatchewan would not be be installing them.

But for the uninformed climate change denialist the world is only black and white!

Bit hypocritical saying deniers are the only ones working in black and white. Many here would love to see viable alternatives to O&G just as you would. Myself included. Biggest problem is you and your ilk. A Quisling such as you doesn’t help the cause.

I think Steve is wrong on this one.

Physics and economics say we are already approaching maximum renewables like solar and wind.

Hydro is limited and Nuclear always stalls on any type of headline incident.

Fossil fuel has way to many advantages to be totally replaced.

              Never happen.

Edit: I forgot to include biofuels. They are the cornerstone of even pretending it is going to happen.

Except Trump, when he tweets about tariffs, or annexing Canada, he's not just a salesman telling people what they want to hear, he is to be taken seriously, according to some on here who create constant new threads about this as if it is serious.

Trump is trolling the crap out of anyone willing to let it get to them. Best thing would be to not lose your shit about it publicly and say things you can’t walk back on but privately plan every contingency possible. Media and government using it as rallying battle cry to breath some life into a dying regime. Doubt they get the mileage out of it they expect. Could even see it backfiring.

One would think that the professional experienced troll types would recognize when they themselves are being trolled.
The same could be said for the flat earth discussions on here.
                      But they don't.
