I've never felt influenced by any lobby even tho they exist in another country.
Touring gun stores down here now I'm not interested in buying anything even if I could as I already have almost every flavor and gadget.

We're never going to agree on the issue. I'm pointing out the policy and tactics.SOP in politics to be sure.
I am one collector. One day legal property, the next not. $70,000 that I might see half of or not, we don't know.
Already far over budget and not one gun handled. Marc Lepine incidents mitigation had other tools. But no votes. But what's a few $B in spillage if I secure a vote?
Handguns now worthless. Collateral damage. Legal ownership risk always negligible.
Unless they're smuggled black market. Flourishing business.

By the time Little Potato gets his hands on any the Ukraine war will be over. Only a small fraction would've been remotely useful anyway. People so gullible.

What's on a OIC list tomorrow??
Let me look around your yard and think of something.

People on a colonial island can swoon over rights of the king but I might not.

      Interesting conversation.
US citizen: nice everyday urban guy.
This was during the BLM unrest and concern for personal safety. I asked him about it.

He was not worried, his reply:

"We all have guns, my wife, my kids, and me. We learn how to use them.
      We do not hunt."

      Me: Why?

      US citizen:
Self protection. Criminals know we have guns. Come to my door, we will use them to protect our family.

Wonder what the stats on home invasion are in Canada to the USA?

USA gun mentality at it's finest.

Vicki, I highly doubt you draw a gun or the overwhelming majority of Canadians do, when a stranger comes knocking at the door.

Count your self lucky then forage. Some have had to. Kamala harris said she would use her glock if needed.

I remember have a conversation with Murray Mandryk about this. He is such a tool.

I said where I farm it is a minimum 2 miles to 5 miles between yards. I explained how an RCMP officer suggested that if burgulars come in the front door that I should go out the back. Murray agreed with that.

I said then what? What if half of them are waiting outside? Am I supposed to hide until they leave? The RCMP said it is just stuff. That's why you have insurance.

I said no wonder we have the problems we do.

Rather have a gun than wish I had one if the situation came to that?

Tough one to call, wouldn't want ever to have to make that decision within a second or two.

Do you think Gerald Stanley would like second chance on which decision to make.

That's because the question asked. Is it worth it to kill someone protecting yourself? when it should be asked. Is it worth it to risk your life and the lives or well being of others to commit violent crime?

That's part of the problem with the gun discussion. It becomes a John Wayne issue instead of property rights and facts.

Further to binthere's comment, do you think Colton bushy would have liked a second chance on his decision?

                        It takes two.
