Do you think Gerald Stanley would like second chance on which decision to make.
I don't know what Gerald Stanley was thinking in his situation.
I don't know if he regrets the decision but that confrontation ruined his life for sure.

A carload of FAS gangbangers in my yard would certainly be an example of a situation that I wouldn't want to be sorry I don't own a gun.
      My worst nightmare.

Hopefully none of us ever have to face that situation.

Even if ones actions are justifiable, your life and more than likely your families is ruined.

The "What If" question will occupy your mind 24/7.

What if you did nothing and family members died?

Just remember, the little angel Colton had a stolen loaded firearm hanging out the window, extremely intoxicated and driving his mothers car, I mean like what could go wrong?

I'm not defending Boushie at all, nor stating Stanley's actions were unjustified.

              Just discussing the fallout.

If Boushie had a been a white neighbors kid Stanley would still be in jail.

So are you getting your gun out everytime an unknown vehicle pulls into your yard?

And who keeps an easily accessible handgun in their shop with the severe restrictions in place for hand guns?

There's actually a precedent for this. White 16 year old Carmen Willis was shot while trespassing on Weibo Ludwig's farm, and no one ever served any jail time.
She wasn't armed, there was no history of violence.

                    This isn't a race issue.

Chuck, I told another Agriviller who lives close to that mayhem that I'm insulated from what's happening in his neighborhood. It's easy to "not understand" when I'm not affected by it or immersed in it.

I can't image I'd want to be "vulnerable" in those situations or be out gunned. Or have a smaller baseball bat, if the gun analogy is offensive and politically incorrect.

There is systemic racism in the justice system when it comes to first nations.

"The jury in the Stanley case was comprised of all white-appearing jurors. In the selection of this jury all Indigenous-appearing potential jurors were excluded using peremptory challenges."

You walk in a store and you are treated differently. And you are watched as a suspected shoplifter just because of who you are. That happens frequently to first nations.

And of course white folks have no experience with racism but are pretty sure it doesn't exist nor is a problem for first nations?

Or, just like Alex Jones (Infowars) regarding Sandy Hook
