The funny part about tariffs is that its been shown to to really do 2 things.

      Increase dollar strength. Decrease jobs.

The consumer doesnt generally pay more as the increase in dollar raises buying strength which counters increased end user price.
the silly part is that its been shown that putting tarriffs on canadian steel ( by the US) hurts US jobs because PRODUCTION of steel in the US is about a 1:80 job ratio when compared to manufacturing already purchased and imported steel.

the tariff stuff, i feel, is just bluster but its making them talk.
i think trump will use tariffs heavily on mexico in order to hsve them tighten up their side of the border ( which they already have).
canadian border asylum seekers and fentanyl/gun crossing is a drop in the bucket when compared to the mexican/ us border. We sre just part of thr trade pact so he cant threaten mexico without threatening us.

Am I the only one who sees this.
Bickering over deck chairs has led to blind warfare while the captain charts straight for every iceberg he can.
We can all agree that JT has been a TOTAL disaster. Like it or not PP is the next PM. There's a lot of work to do.
And some will do nothing more than bicker just for the sake of it.

I'm sure Chuck was certain in 2012 we'd never sell wheat to Japan again. (Borrowed phrase)
Thankfully we're not still arguing over that right???

No ideas only provacation. And you guys are falling for it.

Maybe like a Biden Trump contest.
Neither PP nor Trudeau would win against a real candidate. But right now I can't think of anyone worse than JT. Except perhaps JS.
The longer JT stays, the easier for a chimp to beat him.

As one guy said he would be ok with a trade, the greater Toronto area for Alaska.

Back to the OP our PMJT thought he could pick up a few votes in a small venue by taking some free shots with a partisan group and a favorite virtuous subject.
But then some "idiot billionaire" picks it up from SM and makes Justin Trudeau the most talked about insufferable tool the world has ever known.

                      Politics is all about timing?

Talk about having a bad week.
That is going to leave a mark.
