Good for Doug Ford in saying they will shut of electricity exports if Trump puts the 25% tariffs in place!

We need someone like Doug to say the things Trudeau and little PP can't say.

If all provinces threaten to shut down critical electricity supplies then maybe the spray on tan pumpkin head Trump will get the message?

And what about the 4 million barrels of oil that Canada exports to the USA every day?

Do Smith and Moe have the balls to stand up to the bully who makes policy on social media? I doubt it because they both repeated the lies Trump said about Canada.

Harsh way of looking at things, but past covid consequences did not seem to bother many.

So, speaking of "minuscule magnitude in perspective" I believe the claim is that roughly 4% take fentanyl for suicide purpose, roughly 96% really don't want the out. Recorded fentanyl deaths from Jan 2016 to March 2024 in Canada is 47,162. That's around 5,900/year.

If we are the same as Americans, which most of you want us to become, two milligrams of fentanyl will kill an average adult. US Customs caught 42 pounds crossing their border from Canada. That's likely tiny compared to what it missed. At two milligrams, 42 pounds is enough to off 9.5 million adult average Canadians/Americans, yet it killed 5900.

Is that even statistically significant for Trump to warrant using it as an excuse to destroy hundreds of billions of dollars of trade? I would believe that that number of deaths would pale in comparison to the falling out of windows that trade loss will cause.

doug the thug ford may be the only politician in canada stupider than the turd. ontariowe only dumps surplus power in Michigan and New York for cheap when they have surplus wind power. It is not a main power supplier to those areas. This is only posturing for the stupid which includes chuckles. There recently was a union official representing cbsa staff that confirmed what Trump was saying: they don't have the capacity to check shipments for drugs particularly on trains.
