Looking at the scale of the financial catastrophe that is this coalition government.
As a taxpayer, a far more affordable option would be if we all donated a few dollars to Singh's pension, so that he can stop propping up this government and ride off into the sunset with his gold-plated pension. It would save billions upon billions of dollars.

Were Quebec residents proud Canadians at that time?

What is Canada? Quebec? Quebec has a lot of power in "Canada" and they lost the war! How many PMs have been from Quebec in "Canada's" history? I'm old enough to remember living through all too many of them including the marxist loving PET.
Percentage saying they’re ‘very proud’ to be Canadian has dropped from 78% to 34% since 1985 December 13, 2024 – The years since the onset of COVID-19 have been a well-documented period of division and discord in this country, with Canadians expressing concerns about the lack of a “middle” option politically, an unwillingness from governments...

As a family one of our most memorable days was the ceremony when we became Canadian citizens , what a great Canada day that was
we were every bit or more proud of being Citizens of Canada as we were of our homeland
Canada was the land of opportunity back then
that was about 15 years ago
All was good until C19 and we were treated like second class citizens not allowed to travel , family member passed away , could not go visit in their last days
All that was cheered on by a large proportion of Canadians and enforced by cops that that shud have upheld peoples rights
our charter of rights and freedoms became meaningless
All now supported by courts who say any challenge is moot meaning it can happen again
The big speech on the day of ceremony about all the rights we now had as citizens turned out to be notting but empty words
As report says Canada has changed and also our opinion of Canada has changed , cant see Canada ever being same as again
people are divided
Government cant be trusted , Government funded media cant be trusted , cops cant be trusted , courts cant be trusted
Its very sad what has happenedLast edited by cropgrower; Dec 17, 2024, 13:00.

One turd often leads to another. A new leader is not going to fix this - they are liberal in name only. We gotta get over the whole left wing/right wing thing. Ditch it. Look at what they DO, not what they say. Vote on policy - hold them to it. jt got in on a promise for electoral reform. I guess he meant leader for life kind of reform.

So we are still waiting for PP to come up with more than slogans and political rhetoric.
He seems incapable of letting Trudeau implode and moving on to being a prime minister in waiting.
What's his plan for dealing with Trump? Is he going to bend over like a good boy or is he going to stand up like Doug Ford?
By the looks of it he is not sure what to do?
