Status quo Chuck. Like a lot of the defective antiquated protocols and institutions which run this country takes some willingness and desire to enact change on part of ruling party. The Crow subsidy prolonged a status quo which when faced with reality of the real world showed how behind the 8 ball and uncompetitive we were. The dissolution of the cwb further proved that. I can understand as a smaller farmer when the world changes you sometimes aren’t as limber to change with the times but it opens up other opportunities as well.

We could be asking how much value the NDP has brought to agriculture.

I wouldn’t believe these polls. Much as I’d like to see the liberal caucus reduced to minivan status the reality of 210 seats would be miraculous.

How about the election of 1958?

Not a big fan of big majority under most conditions but in this particular situation it kind of seems like karma.

Why does our elected government get 6 weeks off at Christmas and 2 months off in the summer. That’s outrageous. These bums should be working like the rest of us. They are way overpaid.

When they are 'working' they are doing more damage. Just be thankful they don't work harder. Why does a country with a bagillion laws need law makers? Parliament should be part time job and paid accordingly.

You are going to be disappointed with PP's majority with all those centrist Conservative MPs from the cities.

Plus the yapper will have to deal with Trump's BS which will occupy alot of his energy and time.

And he already has shown he is short on good ideas. His winning strategy is he is not Trudeau!

He will not solve the affordability crisis, nor the housing crisis and with all his cuts will drive up unemployment during the coming Trump tariff recession.
