Premier Danielle Smith doesn’t want Trudeau telling Alberta that they can’t sell oil to the U.S. in retaliation for the imposition of tariffs. I happen to agree with her. We have had 9 years of Trudeau singling out our oil and gas industry. I am quite sure Premier Smith is cognizant of the damage to Alberta’s economy either way but having tariffs imposed and then limiting exports would be a double whammy.

When dug, the thug ford runs a province with an economy that does not need equalization payments from Alberta, he should be allowed to speak. Until then, he can shut his big pie hole. He may actually be stupider than the turd and that would quite the feat. Alberta oil is the only export from canuckistan worth a shit. So premier Smith will lead and the others can follow. There is nothing canuckistan can do that would significantly hurt the US so we might as well export oil and pay the tariff if necessary. Otherwise, if possible, we may be able to work with the US and avoid some of it. That is the choice we have.

I didn’t realise you guys are number 4 in the world for oil reserves. Some reason I thought you were 10/12 way ahead of USA reserves. How come USA can drill baby drill and you guys can’t? To hard to export due to distance?

I believe that stat counts the sands deposit. Which is expensive and only increased with recent technology.
Heavy oil trapped in sand. Can't pump. Traditionally the sand was and still is, mined for extraction. More recently in situ removal with steam etc.
Any better info can correct me.
A large area that only the Chinese will harvest if greens have their way.
