These solar winds are expected to interact with Earth's magnetosphere, potentially leading to minor to moderate geomagnetic storms. While this could enhance auroral displays, particularly at lower latitudes, it might also impact satellite operations, GPS, and other technologies sensitive to geomagnetic activity. Discussions around this event highlight both the awe-inspiring natural phenomena like the northern lights and the potential technological disruptions, emphasizing the need for preparedness in satellite and technology sectors.

Not sure what time lag is.

Good gosh some climate change experts suggesting climate change is affecting the sun. Im a climate change sceptic not denier but come on enough is enough. Tad eye rolling that claim.

Weather is a passion involved in this. But wont get on my high horse about my weather beliefs and lecture you hope link opens.

Solar flares are not the cause of climate change. Changes in the earths orbit and slight changes in the suns output are part of the cause in the past.

The current cause of relatively rapid climate change is overwhelmingly greenhouses gases.

Scientists have 800,000 years of ice core data. And CO2 never exceeded 300 ppm in that time period that included several periods of glaciation.

But of course if you don't think science means anything then welcome back to the dark ages!

When did the past end, and all of the natural factors that used to control climate cease to exist? Did the Earth's orbit and sun's output stop charging?

And why only "part" of the cause? What was the remainder of the cause?

Are you planning on campaigning for Mark Carney Chuck?

He seems to be the last hope for the Climate emergency remnant's

A polar flip could certainly cause the climate to change.

P.S. Don’t depend on solar power to keep your freezer and fridge running - learned from neighbour’s experience.

Other arsehats on social media reckons Aurora increase this year caused by climate change good god. Ya read there bio pro Palestine pro BLM Pro defund police pro Gender transition for children etc etc and they wonder why there getting ignored. Enjoy climate discussions with fellow weather geeks.
Storm chasing cameras set up 6 or 7 blokes sitting around for a hour or so crack a beer discuss climate whilst waiting for storms is good healthy fun.
They enjoy rationale debate can’t cut and paste over a beer.

Real arguments start over cameras and impending storm location etc then it’s full on????????

A5 show us the credible science that says other wise. Natural sources of climate change are still part of what's happening but human causes are far more impactful.

Look at the chart of CO2 in the last 800,000 years what do you see? You don't even need to be a pretengineer to figure it out!

"but human causes are far more impactful."

Oh so now the earth can TELL where C02 came from?

I call bullshyt! It's all the same!

Why is not the other 96% natural C02 to blame?

                      What a maroon!
