I'm sure the word cost was never mentioned in any of the early trudeau cabinet meetings after freeland became finance minister.

Now what will PP the "one slogan boy wonder" do for a campaign?
Trudeau is gone and both main candidates have said they will get rid of the consumer carbon tax.
So I guess its not going to be a carbon tax election after all?
Oh shit Pierre. It's going to be a Trump Tariff election and now what are you going to do when a significant percentage of your base thinks Trump is good for Canada! This is going to be awkward!
The ground has shifted and PP has to pivot to attacking the Trump tarrifs. So far, no Trump tariff slogans have surfaced! A bad sign for the slogan obsessed PP!
And with a very experienced ex central banker and worldy businessman who will move to the centre on most issues. PP looks like a vulnerable lightweight when it comes to Trump.

I don’t think PP needs to rely on any slogan.
the conservatives will crush the liberals and the NDP will continue to be the barking dog in the backyard , most likely without Singh.
The Liberal / NDP coalition dug their own grave.

With Carney leading the Liberals, the ndp vote will swing to the Liberals and Singh becomes a footnote in history.
I think the conservative lead is too wide to overcome. I can't see Carney sticking around as opposition leader. Among other things Stornoway won't meet his standard.

Carney called out PP and hits him where it hurts!
PP has never had a real job and has been sucking the public tit for ever.
Carney the former head of the Bank of Canada and the bank of England who has been on many corporate boards vs PP a career yapper who even many conservatives don't personally like. The man who's slogans and nick names are all about yesterdays issue? He seems a bit off his feed!
Carney “There is a type of politician — you have a few of them here in the United States and they had a lot in and around Brexit and we have Mr. Poilievre in Canada — a type of politician who tend to be lifelong politician, really tend to worship the market but they’ve never actually worked in the private sector,” said Carney.

Pierre Poilievre is a very effective communicator, hence his success as a politician. Both Freeland and Carney are certainly less gifted public speakers. Carney’s French is less than stellar as well. One common element between the Liberal leadership candidates and Pierre Poilievre is that they are all trashing the Liberal record of the last 9 years, will Canadians trust the Liberal’s or the Conservatives to enact the change that is needed?!?!

Carney carries heavy baggage from his connections to UN/WEF/ESG/Brookfield.
Not just as a bystander but the lead on there Climate Emergency programs aimed at net zero by restrictions of funding to many high value industries
He will campaign on rebuilding the economy but what he means is the new green economy that hasn't worked anywhere.
Go full Germany.

Glad to see Freeland entering the liberal tiddlywinks contest. Hope she wins. That would ensure a Conservative landslide in the spring election.
Hope someone buys her a dress that fits

Liberal hopefuls now denouncing the carbon tax, after having voted for it 46 previous times.
Just like the woeful Democrat campaign in the USA, saying on day 1 they will fix all the issues in the country... while currently being in power... Nobody is falling for the lies anymore.
Carnival Carney the man with ties to Ghislaine, never been elected to any public office, could potentially be installed as prime minister, never receiving votes from any Canadians .
And represent our Country without being able to set foot in the house of commons... as he doesn't hold a seat as an MP.
If this were the conservatives/republicans, all we once again would hear on repeat would be that "Our Democracy is at stake."
