Where are you going to get farm supplies and farm stuff then? What are the alternatives?

No Peavey Mart equals more Coop customers and hopefully better Coop selection.

Maybe different with a management change. But the way it is run now is dismal.
Sounds like a lot of local coop’s. Fill management with utter greenhorns or ones run off from other businesses because of incompetence it is a winning combination.

The Coop is building more rural retail than anyone else and investing in local communities. Our local Coops are well run and offer a lot of good stuff!

Coop could do so much better but they better pull their act together cause they’ve lost so many customers at our location because of terrible management.

One location doesn't represent all the others does it?

I could name several with the same problem but I’m not outing anyone.

It's all about the buying power and distribution. Peavey Mart, Princess Auto should not be able to buy as cheap as Coops. But you would never know it.

As someone stated before you hated to order anything from the Coop because it was likely atleast 10 days away if it ever got ordered.

Every coop is separate and theoretically in competition with the others. Only thing which binds them is being tied into Federated Coop. Each is free to manage how they see fit until it ruffles Federated’s feathers. I hold membership in two local coop’s and the difference in management, selection, will to do business, and general selection is profound. One relies on gas stations and groceries while ag has been neglected to redundancy while the other is ag focused and is doing quite well. Another coop was doing quite well but changed manager and went from $70 million of business to $16 million overnight. I like coop’s and try to utilize them as much as possible but running bankers hours, not supplying what you need, and not being priced competitively makes it difficult. I’m fortunate to have other options but it must be hard in places where coop has ran out competition and turned into a dud.

Yes Battlefords and Turtleford coops are great. Anything Turtleford gets behind does well.
