    X marks the spot

The little Booger's boogers prompt Trump to have the Resolute Desk removed from the Oval Office for refinishing.

Should the head of DOGE not be responsible for paying for the clean face on the desk instead of the US taxpayer footing the bill?

It would seem that should top the list of government efficiency.

They have spent 40 million so far. What's a little more.

If Canadians cared half as much about how our own governments are squandering our tax dollars as they do about US politics, we could really accomplish something here at home.

It will be interesting to see what the cost of cleaning the patina of large work of art will total to meet the whims of an OCD individual.

Does anyone believe the non elected president learned anything, but to practice his giggle over the episode? Maybe leave your prop at home. Maybe pay the bill your minor caused, and it might give you some public cred over the action of the position you created.

Sometimes an external incident is a better example of what is wrong than what can be found internally, but that is just me. Take care of the little things, and you have a better chance of never making a bigger mistake.

Have to second what af5 says, seems turd is thumbing his nose at us knowing nobody will touch him, paying off his friends at snc another 4 billion. I also remember when Harper and family lived at the prime ministers residence, afraid to do any work on the place. Dipshit moved down the road but also built at taxpayers expense a second house at the lake because Sophie kicked his ass out.

So why are you pretend fiscal conservatives so quiet about the obvious corruption and squandering of tax payers dollars in your beloved Alberta that goes right up to the Premiers Office?

Danny and the UCP sure are "business friendly" especially when they are her business friends and supporters!

Just to pick on your comment: I guess you maybe a wait and see kind of person, better known as a FAFO.

Would you not like to know if you are being annexed? Then it will be all about US politics, and you will have wasted accomplishing something at home. Really like to have someone say, "not going to happen", just like furrow and I agreed that we hoped the election result didn't cross the border. Well, that was fairly right on target

Not sure if I could put up with a US soldier billeted in my home after invasion. Yes, it is being talked about as being a realm of possibility. Are you "cool" with that?

Yes. Hope for the best plan for the worst. Best case scenario, we are annexed as soon as possible.
I plan for the worst case, which is that it doesn't happen right away. We need to keep our house in order so that we aren't a complete basket case and unable to even negotiate favorable terms when the deal does happen.

It most definitely won't be a violent military annexation. The US definitely does not want to annex the worthless parts of the country that don't want to be annexed .
The regions of the country that have value will welcome the liberators with open arms.

You know, I am conservative through and through.

While I like Americans in general, I am Canadian through and through.

There will be NO open arms from me.
