    Now you're talking.
The size of EV sales for the foreseeable reality far less important than grain exports.
One is a real market with substantial weight. The other a false market being manipulated for votes only.

But that doesn’t mean the fight against climate change is over. Our Liberal team will focus on making big polluters pay and introducing new incentives for families to access heat pumps and other home energy retrofits that will save their family money on their energy bills while cutting their carbon footprint

From a Liberal fund raising email.

Trump loves EVs and Teslas now! He just bought a model S!

Come on right down to Pennsylvania Avenue to the White House Auto Mall for the biggest "Tesler" sale of the Year! "They got computers" said Trump! LOL

Has Trump removed the tariff on Chinese EVs? Nope. And he is ramping up tariffs on other goods.

Biden put them on and Canada followed the US. And Trump has kept them, on. So we are still following the US again

But Trump says Tariffs are the best word! Do you disagree?

So now you are not sure about Trumps claim that tariffs are making america great?

At this point I say we should lower the EV tariffs except on Tesla and negotiate with China on trade. With the US and Trump attacking us we would be better off having a better trading relationship with second largest economy in the world.

Tesla tariffs should still be 100%!
                ?

This is what I’ve thought of as well. You have to remember though the tentacles of the CCP’s foreign interference and influence in this country as well, and combating that. No kidding American meddling here but it is considerably less of a threat to our democracy than a communist power. Though that could be taken differently depending on your political affiliation.

Chinese EV’s could see an influx of affordable transportation but like the f35’s with the remote kill switch what could you be getting yourself into? An effective solution could be taking off the ev tariff and fixing the current trade row but scrutinize the safety of these ev’s.
