One could say that being a politician in a democracy requires some diplomacy which means to NOT be 40 grit.

Or to at least know when it’s appropriate to apply such a level of coarseness and when a finer grain would be more useful.

America currently has no ability for fine and Canada has no ability for coarse. Neither are giving the impression of being a good path to pursue.

I recall many yrs ago in Sask we had a minister in charge of Social Services who looked like John Balushi. I think he was from Melville and it may have been during Devine's time.
He decided the easiest way to check on who was legit on the welfare roles was to get them to come to the office to pick up their cheque instead of mailing them.
Lots phoned from out of province wanting to know why their cheque never arrived.

Caused a huge political uproar as it was considered degrading for the poor folk needing government assistance to have to line up to get their money.

The part about people collecting from multiple locations at once was not considered worth pursuing.

Kind of like a DOGE backlash.
It's just "Governments" money. Who cares, they print it every day?

Edit: To fit the OP I should has described it as traumatic instead of degrading?

Interview by people who understand economics.

          I highly recommend watching.

Nothing more than Trump's front man( Commerce Sec.), hired to pump up the benfits of another tax for the middle class to pay.

But, this tax sits well with you AB5 as long as you're not paying the tax. Nothing new from you on that one, you've always faired well being on the other side of that coin.

Lutnick is on Fox News begging for investors to buy Tesla shares while serving as chairman of Cantor Fitzgerald and the brokerage firm BGC, while Elon serves as Trump's left hand man.

All good right AB5, not a conflict? When you buying your Tesla now that you're a Lutnick follower and an EV supporter like Lutnick is?

Lutnick claims a 1000 have already bought the $5,000,000.00 Gold Card, why not for once put up your own money where your mouth is and buy your USA citizenship.

Okay AB5, deflect or to play your sarcasm card.

When do you think might be the time to buy the dip on the TSLA shares Forage?
They are kind of having a pandemic like dive but still up like 20% Y /Y?

As long as the nut balls don't shoot Musk it might be an opportunity?

I'm staying away as only Trump, Elon, and Lutnick will profit in both directions, and if they don't make enough it will be rinse and repeat.

That's the first reason why tariffs were put in place the second was to tax the shit out of the middle class.

Tariffs are a tax, but other Agriviller's will side with those enforcing the tax as long as others are paying and they get what they want.

Then when challenge they are nothing more than crybabies.

Chuck posted an article from the globe and mail saying the USA has the lowest tariffs the world?

"The U.S. is the lowest tariffing country in the world, according to the World Trade Organization, with an average rate of 3 per cent. The figure for the EU is about 5 per cent, for Canada around 6 per cent and China 10 per cent."
